| So when I try to post from work, I get frequently (sometimes every time) the response page that my IP was blacklisted.
Thing is I'm at work, behind several routers/firewalls, but not a proxy as far as I can tell. I have no idea what IP address it would be and have no control over it either. The error page doesn't give me anything to go on, like an IP address, that would help. Only thing it mentions is the server logs might help.
So is there any way to get this working for me?
Edit: funny thing, was trying for 30 minutes to post in the forums on a thread. Now when I do this, the Preview works.
Edit 2: and when I submitted it, it blacklisted me. Had to email this to myself so I could copy-paste it into a new thread starter on my phone, which is a REAL pain to do.

Yeah, it's been hit or miss for me on that.
Today it's been EVERY time.
Edit: and FIFTH try was the one that worked. Last edited by DWolfman on 27-Jun-2014 at 12:06 PM.

this sounds like it could be your work blacklisting the page(spam/banned pages/keywords), which is more likely down to the Adverts on the page. Can you make screenshot of the page the gets shown when it says 'blacklisted' Last edited by TheAMIgaOne on 27-Jun-2014 at 03:01 PM.

Nope, that's not it. I've seen the page they give when they block something, and "blacklisted" is not part of it. It includes an image in a nicely formatted page saying access was denied.
The page I get is coming from Amigaworld.net and says Amigaworld has blacklisted the IP. It's a simple one line of text in the top left corner of the browser window. _________________ This posting, in it's entirety, is the opinion and/or statement of the author and does not reflect the views and/or position of this site. |

Nah I see the same error, the company I work for is pretty chilled out, they don't filter/block anything. The error is definitely at aw.net's end.

There is no ip's banned in the forum IP ban. Have to check with Sibbi if there are bans on the server level.

There must be [somthing at server level], I also got the same message trying to log in from my gf's house last night (There is no IP filtering set up on her router).
EDIT: clarification :) Last edited by Boot_WB on 30-Jun-2014 at 01:20 PM.

Nothing in forum ip ban. Might be in apache, but that is for Sibbi to check. _________________ Site admins are people too..pooff! |

I would expect that, but they aren't explicity setting a proxy in Internet Explorer. They might be using transparent proxying setups, though. It's from my understanding that the filtering/proxy system doesn't use a plain text one-line message like what I was seeing. When I get it again, I'll paste it in a message.
And here it is: Access Denied! Your address is blacklisted. More information about this error may be available in the server error log._________________ This posting, in it's entirety, is the opinion and/or statement of the author and does not reflect the views and/or position of this site. |

I received same messages few weeks ago. My IP address was banned. I could relogin from another device / IP address but after posting a message my IP address was banned again. It looks like posting messages can sometimes trigger IP address banning.

Nah it's not an Internal Server Error, different think. I posted the exact error above:

It's an IP ban at server level by the looks of it, or a glitch. |

Yep, I get the exact same message at work and occasionally on my mobile. There was another thread about this recently, I guess it's something server-side. Could the hosting company be doing this in an effort to reduce abuse of some other site? Happened to me before... Last edited by Daedalus on 30-Jun-2014 at 07:40 PM.
