Hello, here I'd like to present some graphics from the game I'm working on. It's a Robbo game clone.

Game shall offer smooth movement of the objects, animated effects (for example while collecting screws) and more. See you.

Well, while it might not be that dazzling, those graphics are extremely clear. Good job on that.

Not long ago I was playing Ducktales remake on Wii U, which is graphically superior compared to this, and only reason why i couldnt finish the boss fight on one level was because i got there with only one energy left when i got there and had earlier lost one uncle scrooge since i thought there was something towards right since it looked like there was a place where i can jump on top of. Only realised it was background graphics when i saw uncle scrooge fall through that platform to his death...

Darn thats annoying, and happens in other games too. So you have already beaten Ducktales remake and the rest on that part.

Update.

I'm working on "Bob Editor" now - it's a program for gathering series of IFF images into one file. It will be used by animation engine in the game.

The program is using traditional gadtools.library for user interface, so it can run from Amiga OS 2 up.

The work goes fine, I'm more than happy about the progress. Now it's late evening, thus I will continue the work tomorrow.

Here's a snapshot from the program:

Another update, brand new graphics! It's based on the "plastic" design made by me some time ago.

The Robbo and the Capsule (the red thing) is animated which makes it a lot more attractive.

Now I'm gonna write some code.

Keep in mind, that the graphics is in original Lores 320x256 resolution!

P.S. Software used for this artwork is Personal Paint.

@RNS-Amiga-Scientist

Good thing you bumped this thread, as Ive missed it so far.

I personally like "simple" and clear graphics. Like many of us, I started with C64, and it was all about playability.

Looking forward to future progress reports!

@Overflow

+1, clean, crisp graphics are great but playability is most important.

Looks really good! I like that clean style. How about adding some animation frames to the screws to make them appear twisting?

@RNS-Amiga-Scientist

It is really very cute. I have seen many of the games like this but you have something different from others.
