I can not seem to work it out. I install OWB, "download_fonts" and still when I visit google or facebook it is still showing rectangulars instead of letters ?

In the read me it says " it is best to use microsoft fonts, just run download fonts " ....

And how do I stop them initializing again and again ? And what's the difference between "Odyssey" and "Odyssey Launcher" in it's drawer ?

If the font's are initializing on every start it's usualy solved by deleting the cache file(s) in Odyssey/Conf/fonts

If it has never worked i'm not sure, do you use fastfilesystem on your system partition? that seems to be a common problem.

The only difference between Odyssey and "Odyssey launcher" is the splash image when you start odyssey :)

Odyssey has a readme and it works as download, install, fonts installation, close. Run again.

Newer got the idea is the Odyssey or Launcher better as both works.

Thank You very much for the work in OS4xx and offcourse for the MorphosTeam!

Hope we get an up to date version. Could put 5€ and all should too if there were a bounty.

Then we could see how many we are;)

SFS2 for boot. JFX for the rest. PFS3 for the Classic.

Yes i do know what a readme is and even better i can also read. So I did do the font installation and run again, however I still have no readable fonts at google or facebook. It shows squares or
rectangulars.

Just out curiosity I put all the truetype fonts out of windows 7 in the truetype drawer in Fonts. I now have chinese or japanese or as such characters instead of rectangulars.

That and the fonts initializing that doesn't want to stop, now takes ages.

I tested netsurf, that doesn't seem to have a fontproblem but it has no javascript ?

And another update.



I know what the problem is but not sure how to solve it.

First I had the rectangulars because it was a missing font, after I added the windows7 fonts I had a font, being some asian font. I think. And that is while I visit google.be

When I select "google in dutch" it suddenly shows a readable fonts.

Why does it think I am Asian ?

1. Maybe it knows you're an industrial spy working for Sony to spy on Hyperion...

2. It could be your ISP is a cheapskate using Indian or Chinese server farms and something isn't configured properly.

3. Could be a charset problem if you have been trying weird ones to get it working but that is rather unlikely.

4. Give up and stick the url for Google in dutch on a fastlink...

I am already that far that I now know that's is the Nepali language ... And I don't know why but it stopped and it's all readable now.

Anyway, now that I have all those windows7 truetype fonts in a drawer .... are they usefull ?


sigh: 1 hour later. ... it's Nepali again.

Hi, I downloaded/used the fonts from ODyssey's 'Download font' script/icon /it uses WGET to get such fonts). And they were coied/installed in 'SYS:Fonts/_ttf'.
Then (not sure if it was laready done) edited '/Conf/font/fonts.conf' and added/changed:
