| Hi all came across this today

I forgot to mention that, after the release of the forthcoming Amigaone 1222 (tabor) running a dualcore p1022 e500m core…the Amigaone TX is coming,
featuring T4XXX e6500 core range of cpus…

AmigaOne TX (with e6500) sounds like the proper upgrade from an X1000 since it is considerably faster and also have AltiVec :D
In the mean time, let's see what the X5000 gives us... _________________

The project mentioned is a laptop and there is no connection to A-eon.
As to what A-eon may be developing, that is anyone's guess.
I'd be happy if the P5040 version of the X5000 gets produced.

At first I thought it was about an AmigaOne/Teron PX/CX.
Then I read. I think I have worked it out. It's an AmigaOne TX-1000. If the X1000 is a male terminator the TX-1000 is his female enemy.  |

I think the T just stands for the T series of CPU and X for the number (1 to 4 as used by the QorIQ CPU's). But my guess is that that poster made that up. I don't doubt there'll be AmigaOne machines based around these CPU's, but I doubt the name. |
