| Hi,
I am trying to set up YAM 2.9p1 on my Micro A1, after having Simplemail fail miserably. I can not get a secure connection to the gmail servers as it seems to want to use TLSv1 to connect, but setting that as an option in the security settings is not possible.
I installed AMISSL, so what am I missing? _________________ µA1-C/750FX@800Mhz/OS4.1 FE up#1 A4000/CSPPC 060-233/146Mb/CVPPC /OS3.9 A3000/CSPPC 060/233/64MB/Prometheus w/ Voodoo3/ OS3.9 A3000/PIV, A3000T/PIV |

| So, I figured out what I needed to do. I needed to use the YAM nightly build an generate an APP specific password for Gmail and it now works.

I started early in the morning. :) I first had this issue 3 years ago and I finally figured out how to get it to work. Although, TLSv1 is still not available within the YAM config as an option. _________________ µA1-C/750FX@800Mhz/OS4.1 FE up#1 A4000/CSPPC 060-233/146Mb/CVPPC /OS3.9 A3000/CSPPC 060/233/64MB/Prometheus w/ Voodoo3/ OS3.9 A3000/PIV, A3000T/PIV |

I have it here, on TCP/IP page, under Connection Security, listed as SSL/TLS. |

Yeah, I saw that on some screenshots. On mine I do not get that option. Not even with the nightly builds. _________________ µA1-C/750FX@800Mhz/OS4.1 FE up#1 A4000/CSPPC 060-233/146Mb/CVPPC /OS3.9 A3000/CSPPC 060/233/64MB/Prometheus w/ Voodoo3/ OS3.9 A3000/PIV, A3000T/PIV |

I also updated my AmiSSL recently. But I'm sure it was through AmiUpdate. IS your updater working? |

Yes, it seems to be working The only update I keep getting is AISS constantly. It seems to have something to do with the file system date as no matter how many times I update, it still does not register that it was updated.

Yeah AISS has a bug. On another Workbench it has gone missing. When I try and install it from the installer provided it doesn't work. It cannot be installed from scratch. AFAIK it can only be done form the OS4 contrib installer. And it can be as simple as a missing assign. Or as you point out a corrupted version file. |
