can i check that on the back of the pad you have the following information?
Speedlink SL-6556-BK Xeox Pro Analog Gamepad-USB Black
If so have you checked that you can see the pad in AmigaInput under the USB tab and then configure this in AmigaInput before use. Sometimes you may need to unplug and replug the pad for this to show in AmigaInput.
You are correct that the switch should be on D for direct input and not X.
I can assure you if the pad is the above which I have mentioned, it does work as plenty of other people who use Amiga OS4.1 on a Sam 460 or Amigaone X5000 use this particular type of joypad (although I do want to get my hands on a Thrustmaster pad that HunoPPC had on display with his machine at Amiga 32 as it was quite comfortable)

Yeah it says what you mentioned above. On the back of the joypad.
And it works but not maneouvrable after AmigaInput configuration.
I don't know why on Wings Battlefield and Battle Squadron acts like a wild horse uncontrolable at all and why lots of AmigaOS 4.1 uses without problems and I no.
But of course I want to use it correctly and enjoy, before buying another or return back to Germany.

Am a little confused you say it works but not after you configure in Amiga input?
When you click on the usb tab and select the xeox joypad and then calibrate are you then able to move the d-pad or any of the analogue sticks when you calibrate the X or the y axis?
It will ask you to move to the top left then press a button then move to the centre and then press a button and then to the bottom right and then press another button to calibrate properly.
Equally are any of the buttons recognised too, they should flash red for each different button pressed.

I advanced a bit .After reconfiguring the joypad on AmigaInput,I manage to browse the menus of Battle Squadron and Wings Battlefield, but no reaching to the game screen actually playing both.I only got to the Battle Squadron game-screen but the ship was unmovable.
About the circular button near the top of the joypad what's its function?
For what is it?

It sounds like you may need to reconfigure this again in Amiga Input make sure you use the D-Pad and on the x-y axis box move to the top left before pressing the button.
Then let go of the direction pad and let the cursor move to the centre before pressing the next button
Then use the D-Pad to move the cursor to the bottom right and then press a button.
Then press save
You should then find your cursor can move in all directions.
As for the Xeox button I believe this is lot supported in AmigaOS

Well...good news!!! Finally I managed to assign the joypad inputs to the control of the joypad inside the Battle Squadron control menu..and...I FINALLY CAN PLAY BATTLE SQUADRON WITH THE JOYPAD!!! IS VERY COOL THIS!!
On Wings Battlefield I cannot still play with the XEOX joypad but in MAME YESSSS....AND IS VERY COOL!!! I am using Mame 0.151.
So I can say the problem is solved and it was about AmigaInput configuration thing more than an incompatibility issue with AmigaOS 4.1 Up.1.I changed the buttons to it right places and all worked fine!!!
Very happy now with my joypad!!! I will try to re-configure my NGS one too to see if it works.

Those sound like SDL ports. SDL has AmigaInput support. It depends now does the game itself support SDL joystick system or not. All games don't have joystick support. If you know the porter, you can beg for it.
