Here is a beta release of the Synergy Client I have been working on the past week. Be sure to read the ReadMe file to know what problems you could encounter.

Amiga OS4 Synergy Client v1.0

Let me know how it goes.

Doug

@STRICQ

I'm really surprised some people don't take the chance to win some money
I talk about the DevContest of course.

I tried it now... Mouse movements works great.. But the keyboard seems to be translaed wrong -- not one single key does the right thing *lol* I'm running the server on an X86 computer with Fedora Core 4 (Linux).

Ok, so what happens when you press a b c d e f g? What letters appear? It shouldn't depend on what keymap you are using because I emulate the physical keys on the keyboard, the system takes care of interpreting what should actually appear.

Do the qualifier keys still work, like shift, control , Amiga?

Your website seems to be down? Are you going to upload it to OS4depot?

@Senex

I just checked my website (from work) and it is working fine right now.

I will put it on OS4Depot when I have it finished (minus clipboard support). Maybe next weekend.

Ok, well, what strange results you have there, I'll inquire as to what the problem could be.

Is there anyone using the program with a non-US keymap? What are your results when typing?

Doug

Oh, sorry, you're right - seems to be provider-related, using a proxy it works.

I use Swedish keymaps on both computers.

@Mark

To be technical, this is not a port. Not one line of source code from Synergy is used in my client.

Will you be releasing an 68k and/or MorphOS/AROS version(s)?

@STRICQ

If you don't want to make a 68k version yourself, do you think there's any chance you might provide the source and let someone else have a go at it? Sorry for nagging but I really want a 68k version :)

@Maria

I have found out what the problem is. It seems it depends on what OS is running the server as to what the keyboard layout should be. Very annoying. So, I have my client set to use Windows as a server. Using Linux, and probably OSX will make the keyboard do weird things.
