| Hi,
I have new test versions available for Heretic and Hexen. Get them here:

Changes for Heretic:
- higher sound output;
- time and date are added to save games;
Changes for Hexen:
- higher resolutions are supported now;
- time and date are added to save games;
Both games use the command line option -window to go in window mode. Use -mode 640 480 or -mode 800 600 to select resolutions( 640 480 is default).
Warning: Hexen uses the save game directory properly now so all your save games are lost. Please also check if you get stuck again! Last edited by PulsatingQuasar on 11-Sep-2005 at 08:13 PM.

| Just wanted to show you all......I just got a version up and running of ROTT that uses 640x480. As you see, it's not finished yet but it's getting there.

Hate to say this, but still gets stuck on level 2. There's also some graphics corruption, on the skyline and in two horizontal lines on the map.
Also, on the second level, somethimes not all the green dragon breathing dragons appear, well they appear, but disappear, making the game unfinnishable. _________________

Thanks for the information on your WAD file. My findings; your file is different than mine which would be the cause of the problem( like I already thought). It looks like there are at least 2 types of data files for Hexen.
The WAD file with problems( yours):
File size : 20 083 672 bytes
Date: Thursday 14 march 1996
Time: 01:01
The WAD file without problems( mine):
File size: 20 128 392 bytes
Date: Friday 13 october 1995
Time: 12:38
My guess is with regard to the date that the 1996 file has had a patch applied and the UHexen port doesn't take care of that. I'll investigate further but have no idea when I'm able to add a fix to Hexen. _________________

Did I mention mine came with the Towers of Darkness, which came with Heretic, Hexen and Hexen Beyond on one CD.
