@tboeckel

Way to go!! Thanks. I downloaded a new version of Yam it gave a message about not able to load folder_unfold check image loads in multiview. It did load in multiview. I removed my mpeg datatypes restarted computer and loo and behold Yam runs.
It took so long to try that because i didn;t want tol lose the mpeg datatypes.
So now I have a new question where di u find mpeg data types that are compatible with Yam?

I finally found out that not the MPEGA datatype or descriptor is faulty, but mpega.library which is based on libmad. This one accepts some PNG images as valid MPEG stream and hence the datatype will accept these, too.

I already contacted the authors of the library and am waiting for an answer. Until this bug is finally solved there are two possible solutions:
1. disable the MPEGA datatype and/or mpega.library
2. convert the images to another format so that mpega.library refuses them. Any image format which doesn't collide with mpega.library should be ok. Some people reported that even saving them again as PNG will work.
3. wait for the next nightly build of YAM. This one will include fixed icon images which don't collide with mpega.library.

Yes it worked fine.

Actually there have been problems with the images and the MPEGSA datatype for a while. It is just that previously it did not stop Yam running, you just got blank images for a few icons. It only really became noticeable when toolbar.mcc was replaced by thebar.mcc so you had to use the supplied image sets rather then the third party ones people tended to have had before for the toolbars.

I am still using an older nighlty build of Yam so just get blank images :o)

Anyway it seems as if the mpega problem has been fixed so hopefully next boot up I will be able to see images in the AddressBook tool bar which are currently blank.

Thanks to Thomas Rapp for the quick Mpega fix !

Great avatar :o)

How are the diodes keeping ?

That was me, I loaded the problem ones into Image FX and saved them again. They work but you did seem to lose the transparency - not that was really a?problem.

I then lost them all when a partition died and had not got around to doing it again.
