Wordworth 5 Font Problem

I have installed Wordworth 5 and the additional 3 disks of Compugraphic (agfa) fonts that come with it. However, when using the fonts, they appear as garbage on the page. If I select a bitmap font it looks fine.

I have tried installing them in Intellifont, but nothing changes. I have tried changing colour depth and resolution, but am currently running in standard Hi Res with 32 colours.

I have MagicWB 2, FBlit, MagicMenu, 4MB Fast RAM, WB/KS 3.1, clicknot, Birdie & MUI installed. That's the only hacks I am really running. Any ideas?

@A1200

Have you tried running the font tools in the Tools (IIRC) directory? There are program there for updating the fonts.

Try disabling FBlit and any other additional hacks/patches.

Cheers,

@jmbattle

Disabled absolutely everything I can... there must be something I can so. I thought about file corruption, but there are 3 fonts disks that all installed without incident.

I ran the install fonts program in the WwTools folder but no luck..... Tried Fixfonts, everything!

Decided to install Wordworth 4SE that came with the Magic Pack and then just install the additional fonts disks. Works fine. God knows why Ww5 didn't like my machine, but being as v5 is mainly DTP enhancements and I want a word processor, my workaround is fine.

Ta,

Mike.

@A1200

I do not think I have ever used WW5 - wasn't it WW4SE that came with the A1200?

Oh well, it's strange that the software should not work on your system - I had a quick look on Aminet also, however there do not appear to be any WW5 patches/updates.

Mmmm... Lowestoft - happy memories as a child, eating fish and chips in the car with my family, while the wind and rain lashed in from the coast. Probably the best fish and chips in East Anglia! Well, that an Mary Jane's in Cromer! ;)

Cheers,
James
