Another set of question, time to judge again.

Another interesting question could be:

Amiga Inc has always been a present and active firm?
Amiga Inc has been an absent firm. We don't know what has done in these years!

But there is no more room in the poll textbox

EDIT: Leave a comment, please (if you want).

thank you

This one is a tricky one (double negation):

Btw, I did not vote this time. Things are so unclear!

hello,

normal, even actually Ainc talk with the help of ACK, not Ainc themselves.

Why not Ainc subscribe here and talk with us about questions we have for Ainc ????
Why Ainc not make 20 questions by month to answer the amiga community ???

Thanks to ACK to came here and answer us.

Here and there, their webmaster Ray Akey posts here. Usually not friendly posts though unfortunately from what I have seen.

Amiga's primary goals do not seem to center around the desktop OS product. A community dedicated to their cell phone products would probably have a greater pull with them for 20 questions related to that product line. From the company's perspective their cell phone product customers are likely who they regard as their community.

@AmigaBlitter

am not sure if I like this Poll so much because under my point of view it is a little bit provocative and leads automatic to negative results for Amiga Inc. (I mean, you know the result before ..).

Still, until today, Amiga Inc is the company that holds all the rights, the trademarks and all the rest and in the last months it seems that they have changed their approach versus the comunity and announced some interesting news. They are also always looking for investors, I mean, they take some responsability here.

Big question is, if things will be realized and if they will follow their promisses. In cases like this, to have a case to compare, I like to look at the resurection of Commodore, because there's been a development strategy from the beginning and has been followed step by step. I am sure they will have success.

Personally for example I also don not like the approch of bbrv, talking of Apple and Google all the time and about how the world "could" change ... It would be better tell us what is the plan, the timeline and where we are today. Don't talk to much, just do the things, that's my idea. The rest is worthless bla, bla, bla (just an example).

The result from all the last situations is, that the comunity suffers, because until today we have nothing to buy and to play with. Things can only get better.

Anyway, my way to approach the situation is, to not look at the past, but at the future. If there will be complete systems in summer 2007, I will be happy and interested in reading an update about the next steps.

What they (A Inc) are missing, if I am not wrong, is the announcement about the manufacturing partner .... and developer systems should be sent aout by mid of May ... I think this is more or less "now".

Let's see if there will pop up some news within the next days.

Like always ... just an personal opinion.

Anyway, I wouid be realy surprised if here in this Forums once could happen sth more motivating.

cheers

I think its a very useful poll. Its shows that Amiga is not doing what a business should in regard to its customers. And if they don't consider us customers they should just say so and sell off the desktop OS product.

I'm not sure if that is at all clear, that they are looking for new investors. And even if they are I think its probably a good thing that anyone thinking of investing might come up the experiences their community base face when it comes to Amiga.

ok, first I would like to mention, that the poll shows it again (it's not the first time). The comon way of thinking about A Inc is no really news here.

If your assumption is right, I agree, they should sell of the dektop OS.

About the investors --- we have only more or less confirmed expressions of opinions, so i am okie with what you are saying.

Anyway, they are still here and own everything (to be shown in some parts). I think the approach in general should be more in terms of getting out what they have planned for the next future and what they are going to throw on the market. They are the owners and should have at least a minimum, minimum, minimum part of respect.

cheers

Amiga Inc exists because of this community. That's why Fleecy and Bill bought the company off Gateway.

Not the same company on paper anymore, a couple of times over, foreign investors have a stake, etc. Main products are reselling cell phone and Windows games.

Bill likely needs to care a lot more about what Pentti and Prokom Software SA want than what we want.

Badly wanting to be part of the OS4 club

Me too, but since Bill's management never got that to the masses when there were still some masses to be had, I'd suggest you don't hold you breathe. Its more of a "if it happens, great" kind of thing at this point IMHO.
