Yes,

The Alchimie 7 is the biggest show in France, created by the Triple A Team, this show has grown over years to become the best metting for French Speaking people.

While many Amigans will be present, there will also be Ataris, Macs, Linux, RiscPC, consoles and many alternative machines.

This year again (they were here last year), ACube will be present to show the Samantha board.

@K-L

And a couple of AW links from last year's show:

No guarantees that year old links are still working of course.

Yes, many news. Just wait a couple of hours and you'll se some excellent thing (in my opinion).

There is an Efika with MorphOS 2 (thanks to Stefkos from Poland for having come from so far with his friend) and tonight, Fab1 (the one who brought MPlayer, Sne9x, Mame and many other things to MorphOS) will animate a conference with his Pegasos 2 and MorphOS 2.

Many Mac (Leopard), AmigaOne, Pegasos and PCs with Linux (with impressive Compiz-Fuzion).

Tomorrow morning, ACube will come to present the Sam440EP, and Elwood will demo AmigaOS 4 for Classic (if all goes well).

You can see us live here:

http://ptontha.club.fr/alchimie.htm

I'll come back to you soon.

Just for the eyes' pleasure:

http://www.amiga-ng.org

No, there is no AmigaOS 4 yet, it is only a case which won't be available (unless there are sure to sell at least 100 Sam440EP). Tomorrow morning, ACube will be here to demo the Sam440 hopefully with Linux Crux.

Here are my pictures:

http://www.amiga-ng.org/resources/Alchimie07/Photos

What did we see?

*MorphOS 2.0 on Pegasos 2. Thanks to Fab1 for the demo. MorphOS 2.0 is astonishing.
*MorphOS 2.0 on Efika, thanks to Stefkos for having come from so far (Poland)
*Amikit, thanks to Tarzin for the french DVD case and the CDs
*AmigaOS 4 on an A4000 PPC 604e (233mhz) with a CyberVision and a Ariadne ethernet board. All working fast and useable.
Thanks to ACube for having come from Italia to present us with Amiga OS 4 for Classic and with the Sam440EP
*Many conferences on Haiku/Beos, Blender 3D, MorphOS 2.0, AmiKit, AmigaOS 4 Classic, MO5 on a FPGA, Compiz Fuzion on Linux, etc...

There were many Amiga (1200, 4000, 500, 600, AmigaOne, µAOne, Pegasos, etc...), many PCs under Linux, old machines, consoles, etc...

Videos will come when I have converted them

I love to hate this photo: http://www.amiga-ng.org/resources/Alchimie07/Photos/gfx/144_big.jpg

The only thing that is stopping these two teaming up is politics... It makes me sad that OS4 is being released on old hardware that could break at any moment before the brand new shiny SAM440 hardware...

I *really* hope the courtcase is over soon and ACube can actually release OS4 for Sam440... Every day when I visit the site I dream of that... I hope it will happen this year... ive waited too long.

@AmiKit

Yep, I forgot to mention it. For those who did want to attend the Alchimie, there was an AmigaBus which aimed to help people to come from Paris to Tain l'Hermitage (with various stops in big towns).

And the surprise was this: a Lincoln Limousine. Moreover, taking the AmigaBus did only cost a few dead hard drives. The founder of the AmigaBus, Imré Antal, has a disk recovering company and is looking for hard drives, so it was a good way to have spare ones.

Nonetheless, people who took the Limousine to go to the Alchimie and back home were more than happy with this solution.

This is one of the things which make the Alchimie the best and biggest Amiga event in France

Man, look at these screenshots for the installer for os4 classic! No wonder so much effort was required for this. Well done Hyperion!
