According to your question, it should be highly possible. If i understand this correct, Cairo is de facto standard when it comes to having a fast 2D-library. It's great to see that Hyperion is quite aware of the importance to improve networking on Amiga greatly!
A wonderful surprise! Amiga Inc would do well to learn a lot from Hyperion, and Amiga Inc should threat Hyperion with honorable respect...! _________________ Helge K. Leaving the Amiga in favour of a PC.. |

Unfortunatley for IBM, Microsoft was able to sell OS Licenses to all the clone makers, without IBM's agreement. |
Unfortunate for IBM back then, but we would not have had today's Internet without the mass production of cheap personal computers that put a computer on millions of desktops. IBM has benefitted along with the rest of the computer technology world.
Imagine what would have happened if AI had focused on porting Firefox and Open Office to OS4 instead of engaging in the current legal battle. I'm betting that every OS4 owner would have purchased their software even if it cost more than the OS itself. Opening the hardware to all manufacturers and focusing on software would have benefitted everyone.

Maybe they should leave the name "Amiga" out of the board name and have it work with OS 4.1 by sheer coincidence. The original IBM PC was made from available off-the-shelf parts and other computer makers were able to "clone" the IBM PC. |
Bingo! Hyperion could have the installation script so that it shows installation selections for "SAM 440", "PS3", "MAC PPC", etc ghosted over until a developer flag is set by changing the script or setting a tooltype. Hyperion can't be held responsible for people altering their code and using what is intended for testing by developers. Let Amiga Inc. start another law suit over it while Hyperion is making money to fund their law suits by selling AmigaOS 4.1 for AmigaOne and classics only . If Amiga Inc. ever did get AmigaOS 4 back, they wouldn't make enough money because Hyperion would have already made most of it off the initial sales. To combat piracy, an online AmigaUpdate program could be used to register for updates. Updates would be transferred only to those people who are in a database marked as payed. Major updates would be on CD available from vendors for those who don't want to give their credit card or banking account info in AmigaUpdate or who are not online. It would be nice if Amiga users could pay extra, but get a discount, to prepay for the next major update or lifetime updates. Let us support you, Frieden brothers and Hyperion. We need to get AmigaOS 4 out there soon so developers can develop (e.g. Firefox) and users stay with the Amiga.

I can't disagree with you there. It's such a shame AInc didn't support OS4 from day one, instead of it being a sideline. Only once it became obvious that Amiga anywhere was going nowhere, did OS4 become important to them._________________ Peter Swallow.
