| According to this article there is a Papyrus Office out for Amiga - well I have searched a lot, and the best I could find is this pre-order page dating 15 June 2005.
Can I safely assume Papyrus Office for Amiga does not exist? _________________

I am afraid so, yes. I pre-ordered way back then and never heard anything since.
Nice article, though. Haven't seen it before.

I believe the stated reason that it never happened was the lack of availability of hardware to run OS4 on the developers could not purchase a new AmigaOne board and were most likely left wondering just how much of a market there would be for Papyrus Office on OS4 when the port was finished if no one could purchase new hardware.
With a bit of luck the SAM440 boards release may fix this problem in the future but as of today you still cant just nip out and by a board to run OS4 on. Hopefully all of us that preorderd SAM440 boards and OS4.1 for them should get our boards next week, then we will just have to watch and see what happens to board availability over the next year.
If hardware says available and people purchase if hopefully some of the OS4 projects but on hold due to lack of expected demand will be resurrected. _________________ Sam440ep 667mhz, 512MB, 120GB 2.5" HD, OS4.1FE WinUae 3.0.0, OS 3.9, BB3, Catweasel MkIV Amiga 1200, Blizzard 040/40 (BlizzardPPC 060/200 with SCSI removed at present), mediatorSX pci, Voodoo3, PCI network card os 3.9BB2 4MB Minimig with ARM addon boar |

I had Papyrus Office for MorphOS some years ago. It was very buggy though it's still beta version. _________________

Here is what Titan said recently on MorphZone "Hi, an updated version of Papyrus Office will be available end of year. If you are not registered yet or ur email data have changed please send us an email. Topic : Papyrus Amiga update. Your name and address along with ur Papyrus registration code. email to: support [at] titan-computer[dot]com

This will be a Amiga 68K release because their PPC hardware is broke.

| I remember preorders for an OS4 version.... but it was a long time ago.
Any news about the OS4 port?
Since the harware is now available, it shouldn't be big deal to do it now.
Anyone here from Titan?

I think my credit cards have reached their expiration dates and been renewed since then. I no longer remember what card I used, if I still have one from that bank at all, or how I might update my preorder. I've long since forgotten all about papyrus. _________________ All glory to the Hypnotoad! |

I bought Papyrus Office for MorphOS from Vesalia in 2004. I remember that I saw pre-orders for the OS4 version since then. So we speak for 4 years time now. _________________

I emailed them and asked a while ago. They are no longer doing any Amiga or MorphOS development. Papyrus for AmigaOS (or alike) is thus canned. There was never even a beta made for OS4. Only the buggy MorphOS and 68k versions exists.

| Sucks :(
This means the only thing related left (even remotely) is pagestream. The best next option would be AmigaWriter. _________________

To be honest I use Pagestream (DTP), Wordworth (Wordprocessing) and Turbocalc (Spreadsheet) on a daily basis for a multitude of tasks, and I still am not convinced an "Office Suite" would be any better.
