Have you been scammed by amiga inc? tell google This is a link to gooogles scam and phising reporting service or wachamaycalllit

I know people here have been scammed by these people left and right for years, be it coupon, a1 motherboard or investment.

Its about time we did something about it isnt it? Not only is amiga inc responsible for ruining the reputation of Amiga in the business side of things, ( see newteck writing amiga out of its legacy) but its also scammed users with coupons, promised to pay back, and what happened to the a1 motherboards? Swallowed by the angry white wale?

@wawatts

I notice you share the exact same ip (using the same ADSL connection) as another user here. I'm going to throw a reminder out that multiple user names for one person technically calls for a permanent ban (ouch). And said account already has an AR associated with it from the past. So if you are the same person I'd suggest you discontinue using this account please and post under your actual account.

It may not be the case here, but it should be noted that IP addresses are not necessarily unique, as many ISPs and organizations around the world use address translation, proxies, and other means to limit the number of public addresses required to provide access to services.

Very true. Its just a tool to be more informed. Which is why I posed it as a question and did not name names. And lets face it, the guy could always have a brother or sister living in the same house. It being a first post looking to get Amiga.com blocked from most firefox users raises an eyebrow lets just say.

And it does seem a bit vindictive in purpose IMHO. Assuming for a second he/she read what counts to be reported (see: http://www.google.com/tools/firefox/safebrowsing/). This is for combating phishing sites. Like Amiga, Inc. or not (and I don't, believe me), Amiga.com (IMHO) is no phishing site.

I guess that depends on your definition of offshoring.

Phishing and scam attempt
"Amiga has an established reputation for delivering phenomenal graphics and high performance multimedia on PCs and mobile devices."@

The site is all about impressing potential investors, tricking them into their little madoff ponzy scheme there.

@wawatts

Since you admitted to me the dupe account in PM, don't use the dupe account any further please. That said, for the moment I don't see a reason to not allow the thread to proceed, though it will be moved to Free for All out of Amiga OS 4 hardware.

Free for All is not on the front page, but it will appear in the proper order here:
http://amigaworld.net/modules/lastposts/

Now *please* discontinue use of this account. If you have any other questions PM me from your actual account.

I had completely forgotten what it was like to go to the bunny and read. This brings it all back.

Don't get me wrong. I'm no fan of AInc, either. They DID scam me with the coupon thing. But the a1 motherboard? I've been using mine for what . . . about 6 years or so now? It's still working great. I've had brand name PeeSee mobo's go sooner than that. So how does the a1 motherboard qualify as a scam?

I guess the amiga universe will never lack for over the top rhetoric.

Paul

No no no no nono,

Sure the quality isnt great, but they got it done, i believe bill was still a believer then, but later lost his way, or this was the plan all along, Its the ACK partnership and and them offering repair services then not returning the boards thats the problem. there

@Paul

One man's scam is another man's clever way to offload old stock, I suppose.
Takes all kinds and if you're happy with what you got, who really cares what others think?

hmm...let's put that in some context with Bill McEwen's statement of September 13, 2006.

Quote:
Bill McEwen -- Actually I have not spoken with Mr. Jenison in almost 5 years. In our last conversation he wanted me to get in touch with them once we had the hardware situation resolved. We are now getting closer to that hardware solution, so I will contact him again.

oh...just...LOL.

@wawatts a.k.a. somebody else!

I think I found a solution for your goal.

See this story:

http://www.cnbc.com/id/29493102

How Reputable Is Your Company?

Quote:
Vanno's Reputation Check lets everyone—employees, customers, vendors—weigh in on 5,800 companies around the world. The result is a reputation "score" based on the social network's ability to compile and measure a combination of personal experiences, news stories, and opinions about other opinions regarding a specific firm.

So if Amiga, Inc. is not on there already, work towards getting them added I guess.
