@number6

1st day passed without any problem. Already 76 people were there and today will be the biggest say with no more than 130 people attending the show (and many non Amigans visitor coming to discover the alternative world).

Today, Corto wrked on his PPS reader PointRider (he went to bed at 4:26 AM so he's worked a lot).

Here is the live webcam (sorry for the poor quality ) : http://www.triplea.fr/alchimie/pages/webcam.php

For French speaking people, the Alchimie is also aired on line thanks to La Radio Du Net :
http://www.service-diffusion-production.fr/Laradiodunet.htm (the pls file works with TuneNet for example).

Today, the most awaiting conferences will be the AmigaOS 4.1 on Sam440 and MorphOS 2.4 on Mac Mini.

Wee'll keep you updated

This is the big day !

Yesterday we had a presentation of Haiku and today there are many other presentations (FPGA, Gribouillis and PyMUI, OS4, MorphOS, ...).

K-L : I didn't find the bug (localized it without understanding what can happen). But you were the second one to see WMF pictures displayed by PointRider.

I also spent hours trying to bring the support of the webcam Macally Icecam. I just have to check the webcam is not broken. Else, it has a different chipset ...

We have nice discussions and it is the opportunity to meet guys that come for the first time. At least 150 subscribers will attend the show !

See you later for news.

By the Web-Cam images, Alcheme looks bigger than latest Pianeta Amiga by visitors (imho) ? Many places with computers, etc. A bit remind me BreakPoint2009 (of course less visitors, etc). Glad to see such activite.

@lucaricossa

Yous should have read on Amiga-NG, you can download the pls file and open it with TuneNet but I'll give you the link :

http://www.oliade.com:9060/listen.pls (actually, you just had to click on the "?" to take he pls file).

Sorry, i should have been more accurate about this point

@Kas1e : yes, bigger since we had 140 people attending the show and 117 more visitors from external Amiga world to discover our systems and the robotic.

The OS4 conference is finished, we had to show the AmigaOS 4.1.1 on Sam440 thanks to Elwood (the notification system is great). If you wish, we'll post the Hollywood presentation made bye Elwood. AmiDark introduced the AmiDarkEngine and Huno showed his latest ports which will be available at the end of the year. This was one of the most attended conference.

The MorphOS 2.4 on Mac Mini took place just after and was also very crowded thanks to Fabien Coeurjoly who demoed the latest version of OWB with the Flash plugin.

All in all, the show is not yet finished and some conferences are to come tomorrow (MuiBaseat 9:30 AM).

Tonight at 22:00, 4Tracks (ex Amigan) will give a musical show, don't miss it, it's a mix of chiptunes and electrnic music, we can't wait to see/hear that.

I'll post the video of the conference when I get back home tomorrow night.

@kas1e

Yes, K-L is right. Great atmosphere, enjoying 4Trackz's electronic music (amiga stylish) concert at this moment. Don't know if it can be listened on that Net radio.

Lots of people today (near 300), lots of talks, 4 conferences. (The OS4.1 and MorphOS were the best)
4 games ported to Amiga OS 4.1 (work in progress) by Huno showed, all great (1941, Super Mario clone, Zelda's adventure ala SNES game).
Flash in MorpOS OWB is just great on Mac mini, and playing 720p movies is also cool.

Lots of other stuff but have to get back...

It was a great time ! And obviouly too short, as usual. Great atmosphere with people discussing, playing, programming, ... There was also a creation contest (music, graphics, ...).

Conferences, organization, concert, ... everything was amazing !

We discussed and helped each others about programming. So I've worked on Sonix and PointRider, AmiDark shew its AmiDark engine, Huno also did an incredible job on its SDL games, Fab teached me internals of its OWB improvements, Yomgui talked about Python and Gribouillis, ...

RMS Communications and Ampico did a presentation on MUIBase and their associated projects.

Pictures looks not so interesting (becouse there mainly ppls, not the screens, etc). But still, interesting to see. Still downloading video :)

How AmiDark engine was ? Nice ? Did Fredrix show any short "demo" example done by AmiDark ?

Hi :) Freddix & AmiDARK is the same person :p
It's me ( Mario ! :p )

I did show some small demonstrations with 2D scrollings and some 3D Objects features (ghosting/alpha mapping, instances, etc ...)

I will release these demo online this week and upgrade the website http://www.amidark-engine.com with all informations concerning the product and its actual development state (progress).

I want to thank Corto for his help. With him we have made AmiDARK system become a lib : libAmiDARK.a
And it can now be used as an additional library when coding under C/C++ :p
It's a great new in the project progress :)

Regards,
Freddix / AmiDARK

@freddix

Why i ask about it right now: becouse after 3 weeks, we will release second issue of our scene-amiga related diskmag "the vague" (os3,os4,morphos and aros support by Warp3d), and there we have article related to demo systems on all amiga and amiga like systems. For os4/mos we write that "there is nothink too modern, only some old 68k toolz , etc". But will be cool, if we can upgrade article related to os4, even if it will be only beta binary. Readers will be in hight interest about. We also will put link on your www-site, etc for help you promote it more..

If you have some tools like SabreMSN / MSN ... we can discuss directly about this. I would be happy to send you directly some demo or demo shots (if you don't have any Amiga OS 4.1) so you can add in your article ;)
Send me a PM concerning this if you want ;)

A new set of pictures (mostly people) here :
http://picasaweb.google.fr/PolyAlbums/Alchimie2009

It's weird (it may be because it's a French event) but we had more than 150 people attending the show which I think makes the Alchimie the biggest Amiga show in the world and no one seems to be interested in (we even had a coding party from which many nice prods were releases for the different platforms).

Anyway, we had a great time and the future ones will be even bigger.
