About the same speed of a G4@1000 :)

If you get some time to do also other tests was nice :)

@Kyle, Tuxedo and others

I would really like to see those results but the links you provide make Windows open my e-mail client to send a mail. I guess it identifies as an e-mail address. I will try it on Linux when I get home.

@Niolator

I'm afraid those guys didn't provide links in their posts - that's the forum simply seeing an @ symbol in the post and automatically converting it to a mailto: link - this causes your mail program to open, but isn't a real link...

My pegasos2 1266mhz and 9800 pro with Quake Gl timedemo demo2

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PoYfGDSDVB0&list=UUkb4bw4N19d-x_tn2FXLojQ ;)

... miss it too much :(

score in hdrlab video performance of 9800pro

http://www.hdrlab.org.nz/benchmark/gfxbench2d/OS/AmigaOS/Result/1320

Note : Because no composition acceleration enable no point for it ... but overall are really good.

Copy/paste of my posts from WinUAE with Cyberstorm Emulation thread:

notebook with Core i5-2430M 2.4 GHz:
mplayer -benchmark -nosound -ao null -vo null -lavdopts skiploopfilter=none "Prometheus - Trailer.mp4"

BENCHMARKs: VC: 668.605s VO: 0.039s A: 0.000s Sys: 3.475s = 672.119s
BENCHMARK%: VC: 99.4772% VO: 0.0058% A: 0.0000% Sys: 0.5170% = 100.0000%

Mplayer benchmark (MUI-MPlayer, generic version), now on Core i5-2500K 3.3 GHz (see post 330 for details):

BENCHMARKs: VC: 463.868s VO: 0.018s A: 0.000s Sys: 3.064s = 466.950s
BENCHMARK%: VC: 99.3400% VO: 0.0039% A: 0.0000% Sys: 0.6561% = 100.0000%

Benchmarks on notebook with Core i5-2430M 2.4 GHz:

RAGEMEM v0.37 - compiled 11/06/2010

CPU: 604e 9.516 @ 261 Mhz
Caches Sizes: L1: 32 KB - L2: none - L3: none
Cache Line: 32

CPU
MAX MIPS: 1996

L1

READ64: 1842 MB/Sec
WRITE32: 1191 MB/Sec

WRITE64: 1225 MB/Sec
WRITE: 473 MB/Sec (Tricky)

VIDEO BUS

OGR-NG (on Core i5-2500 3.3 GHz) was around 4,000,000.00 to 4,700,000.00 (depending on WinUAE beta version).

Lame was too slow (FPU is emulated by soft-floats).

Any other benchmark I should try?

@Spectre660

Thanks.

Note: HardInfo benchmarks are from QEMU, not WinUAE (however, CPU emulation is the same).

@Spectre660

Nice but why don't put here also some test to keep track of results directly compared with same files?

EDIT: faster than my reply...thank you!

@Tuxedo

Another note to MPlayer WinUAE/OS4 benchmark results. These are better than SAM440EP, but real performance is limited by lack of proper FPU - seems to slow playback down. SAM would probably play higher resolution video than my WinUAE configuration.

@pavlor

That slow fpu issue was really a big problem IMHO...
That seems that no windows PC can work with WinUAE faster than a real g4 AmigaOS machine...
Or maybe with a proper gfx driver it can in integer but nobly in float...

EDIT: no test here on my thread was reproducible on WinUAE Ppc?

WinUAE based PC is still the fastest portable AmigaOS machine.
