This is really nothing interesting to read for maybe norwegians. But ill post it in englsh so no moderator will compain about that

I'm asking if there is any interest in an amiga party in norway. Just a small one for people to come and watch some machines they can try and maybe show some work not yet released. Since i'm sceptical to the amount of response,i'm thinking of holding it at my place,so i don't need to rent a place and throw money out of the window. And then
see if this is something i can try again later. I live around 40mins drive from oslo,a bit north.

So anyone interested in such an small and probably boring event???

No Amiga event is ever boring, history tells us that at least

Pizza is good. And some sam440/A1 presentations,maybe latest 4.1 update and ff port. Showing off some products not yet finished would be nice too.

What about beer though?

Yes sam440 would be good also....hoping to get mine before the end of the year. it would be nice to get advice off people who know how to use it properly. But half the fun is learning i guess.

And if you have a classic Amiga a game of Lotus or Sensible Soccer is a must

Hehe,missed by a few centimetres.

Not so much yet,doesn't seem to get much response really. You're living close to skeikampen? Been there several years when i was young(er).

If i get some response i can make a small happening,but won't bother if just one wants to come. Hehe!

@Amiga1200Mark

It's so expensive over here. Hehe. Not so much fan of beer. More vodka and pepsi.

It's fun learning and getting help from others too.

Don't have any classics left,sold them earlier this year. As i never used them anyway.

Vodka hmmmmmm That would put my Lotus skills to the test.

Yes beer is expensive in scandanavia compared to here in the Uk. Perhaps thats why we all drink too much here.

Hi there Antique,

I'd really like to visit an Amiga gathering here in Norway. I live about 35-40 minutes drive from Oslo. Not too far away. ;) Would be great to see this becoming a reality in 2010. I'm sure I'm not alone in this way of thinking. This is something that could boost the Amiga community in our country.

There are Norwegian Amiga freaks posting on other forums too. If you want, I can spread the word about this thread for you.

Would you be interested in having competitions in games and demos as well?

Pizza and beer is a great combination! Kjør på med grandis! Hehe..

@PG

Which side of oslo?
Yes,spread the word. Will probably be a bad gathering. But then we can learn for a next time how to make it better.

A game competition would be nice. Depends on what kinda demos,i have no classic amigas left. But if someone have we can set it up,or can use uae or might set up ps3

Was thinking of grandis myself Hehe

@Antique

Hi again Antique,

I live in Østfold, south of Oslo. Doesn't take much getting to Oslo and further North when riding on the E6 or by train.

I've started spreading the word now and will be informing users on other forums about this thread. Hopefully there will be some interest.

If the event does take place, I'm sure someone might bring an Amiga 1200. I've got one myself with IndivisionAGA and a 030 turbocard ++. Registerd WHD-load is installed. Since the A1200 is small, it is easy to carry.

Grandis is king!
