Having recently installed EUAE with Hi-toro on Mac OS X 10.6.2, I have a request I would like to make happen.

Is there a way to simulate a graphics card to allow for resolutions higher than 640 x 400. The Standard Amiga resolutions above that never look good for soem reason. I would love to get 1024 x 768 or higher. I do not see any options in Hi-toro or EUAE for driving above this resolution and preferences does nto offer any options.

Is anyone using EUAE to drive resolutions higher than 640 x 400? If so, could you please letme know how to configure the emulation software and the Amiga itself?

@A500

Sure, you need to use RTG emulation. To do that, you need to check your memory settings and give a wedge of ram to the "P96 RAM".

You then need to install Picasso96, which comes with a RTG driver for UAE (uaegfx) that should then enable you to use higher resolution modes.

@A500

The only thing I can't figure out how to do is utilise the RTG memory, but I am able to run 1344 x 756 no problem with 24 bit colour.

The only mention of RTG was under full screen...

Any thoughts?

Now, if I could just figure out how to get bsdsocket.library emulation working properly on my E-UAE installation, I'd be a happy man.

@Karlos

In which version of AmigaOS/Workbench? Does the Hi-Torro GUI have a check box for it?

Under Linux, bsdsocket.library emulation 'just works' when running AmigaOS 3.9.

@tiffers

I'm actually using OS3.9 on it, and whenever I attempt to open any application that needs to connect, it complains it can't open a socket. It's just a straight recompile of the WIP v4 and thus has just the basic GTK GUI.

Probably need to check ~/.uaerc

-edit-

Yep,

bsdsocket_emu=false

for whatever reason
