Sometime ago Jamie Krueger from BitByBit software was employed by Amiga Inc in 2007 with a two year contract, just wondering if hes still around or even still with the community.

Wow, he can sure defend Amiga Inc! I suppose he was skint and couldn't exactly shoot his own employer at the time!! We know better now. Amiga Inc. were a sinking ship and I couln't care less where they employees ended up! His stint at Amiga Inc. won't look that good on his CV, but he could always take a leaf out of Mehdi Ali's book and lie

His prior experience includes serving as the President of Commodore International, where he accomplished a major operational turnaround.

That's not exactly a lie. I think brankrupting a company qualifies as "a major operational turnaround".

Yeah! Especially as they were in profit before he touched it.

Did Amiga Inc. die off again? I hadn't noticed.

Well I can't speak for Amiga Inc. of course,
but I'm still around anyway. For whatever that's worth.

Nice to know!
Do you have time for AOS4 SW projects now?

I haven't heard of AI's death either. Are you still connected with AI, BTW?

People have noticed that amiga.com disappeared months ago (I get a DNS lookup failure), and have jumped to the conclusion that Amiga Inc is no more. To be honest, if a company can't pay $10.00 to keep its domain registered, and another $5/month or so to keep at least a basic site running, then it's only natural to wonder if they're still solvent.

Of course, it's possible that they're going to rename themselves, since the name Amiga Inc. now carries a lot of negative baggage courtesy of the mess over the last decade.

It's only a "mess" in your & my opinion - I get the distinct impression that they LIKED what McEwan did with Amiga Inc (or they wouldn't have kept him on for so long). For some people/companies/schemes, any publicity is good publicity.

@JamieKrueger
Are you still under NDA with Amiga Inc? (I assume yes, or you'd have spilled some beans already.)

@ChrisH

Count me in on the "mess" opinion!

If Amiga Inc really have bitten the dust, I hope that the rights to the Amiga name and the domain go to the right people. That's all we *can* hope for, I guess.

@JamieKrueger

Well i just ment the website death, dunno about the actual company.

Anyway main reason for seeing if ur still around was due to that OS4 book idea, as i would guess u could be quite useful with either tutorials or even allow some form of AVD to be distributed with the book, although dont think they have discussed the idea of accompliment cd yet.

btw to see ur still among us :)

Hi Jamie, well maybe you can tell us if you are still getting paid from Amiga inc.?

We know you are alive, that's great :) But we are trying to determine if Amiga Inc. is. :)
