@AmigaBlitter

This is good. Finally on an original system developer comes back to the fore to support the AmigaOS4 platform and give his approval for AmigaOS4.

More than we have been getting from other people around. Now, where's the Linux PPC build I can try on my A1?!

@AmigaBlitter

Great news!

Rebol is great, personally I prefer Python, but I can see how Rebol is useful...!

Perhaps people will find Rebol useful as an alternative to Hollywood?

Have already offered an IMICA. But got no cases left at the moment.

However, it was offered no strings attached. As said here, just a small gift to an Amiga legend.

From what I heard, he didn't do the work, some OS4 developer did it... Not that it's bad, it's nice! It's just that "Carl is back to AmigaOS" sounds a bit exaggerated to me...

@Leo
You heard wrong. Carl supplies REBOL/Core and other devs are then allowed to add on. Yes, Carl is working on his Sam and using AmigaOS 4.1 and using the SDK which I helped to create for this purpose.

I think you should be more careful about how you try to attach MorphOS to OS4 stories. Carl Sassenrath has made quite clear his views on MorphOS in Issue 85 of Amiga Future. Just in case you missed the interview:

AF: What do you think about MorphOS?
CS: Not on my radar. It was a poor clone of the AmigaOS years back, by a bunch of wanna-bes with ego problems.

Hardly the ringing endorsement I assume you were trying to imply. Before spamming every OS4 story you might want to think about how it reflects upon you and MorphOS or you may end up with egg on your face.

wait, carl sassenrath had an interview in that issue? i thought that was dave haynie's quote.

anyhoo, REBOL is very cool. conceptually and in practice. the more platforms the runtime can be deployed on the better.
