There is video available from the NC/SC Amiga User Group Meeting last weekend. It took me a bit longer than expected to get it put together.

http://downloads.amigaworld.net/tmp/NCSC_OS4Demo.avi

Thanks to DaveyD and Amigaworld.net for hosting the file for download.

Try Divx. That's the encoding I used for video. Or if playing on Amiga, it should work with Frogger with the codec pack installed.

@Herewegoagain

Both Xine and MPlayer have no audio, though the video plays fine.

Hmmm... Okay... I converted it and everything on the PC (sorry, that's all I had to get the job done).... But I used Divx for the Video Codec and I tried several audio codecs from the "Frogger approved list" that are supported on Amiga, and using WMA format seemed to produce the smallest file. Other formats made the file size almost double. I'm fairly new at this encoding stuff, but maybe eventually I'll get the hang of it.

Anyway, the video is the best part... just crank up your favorite tunes while watching.

Or if you really want the original score you can find it here: http://www.epitonic.com/files/reg/songs/mp3/Astral_Matrix-Mindwalking.mp3

No audio here either :\ But anyway.. i believe encoding audio as mp3, should decode on pretty much all systems, so try that next time
Video is nice though

Yeah, that was my original plan, to use mp3. I thought that should be fairly safe, but when I selected MPEG Layer 3 as the audio codec, the file size went from about 52MB all the way up to 115MB. I thought that was rediculous, since the original mp3 file was only about 7.2MB in size. I don't know why it would have increased to such a size unless the bitrate of the audio was something really high. I had the option of setting the bitrate of the video to my choice, but not the audio.

My hard drive crashed yesterday and now I cannot even go back and try something different. Well, not immediately anyway. I've got to get the data transferred off of it first (looks like everything is still there) it just wont boot.

@Herewegoagain

It worked ok with both sound and video, I used VLC for Windows.
Can be downloaded from VideoLanClient website.

Beat Mediaplayer on most videoclips

Nicely cut video BTW.

I found the same issue trying to play it on Windows Media Player 8, but when I updated to Media Player 9, it worked just fine.

@Tomazkid

I'll have to try VLC too.

@Sbaitso

All works fine here Nice video - and OS4 seemed to run very smooth (particularly considering the state of the graphics library).

Almost as fast as MorphOS 0.4 on my old Blizzard PPC 270 + BVision + some ram.
I exclude Quake in 1280x1024 of course !

@tomazkid

I am trying VLC.

It's skipping forward and backwards, sound is horrible and it takes about 5 minutes to play the entire file.

MPlayer complains about bad interleaving. I suggest throwing out the ####ty encoder used and using something that works

@Herewegoagain

I downloaded Windows Media Player 9 for OSX and it doesn't even recognize the file format.

@Billsey

You will have to install Divx for Mac also, as that is the codec used in the encoding.

http://www.divx.com/divx/mac/

The free one on the right should do just fine.
