So it comes with additional Audio & Ethernet cards? Shouldn't they be on the mobo? Means there are no drivers for the onboard stuff yet?

Upd4 and 5 are undoubtedly different code branches. The X1000 beta most likely needs and already runs the, what will be, update 5 branch.

The stuff in the X1000 code branch ('update 5') that is applicable to OS4.1 for Sam/A1/Peg/Classic wil probably be cherry-picked to the main OS4.1 branch before release for these machines.

So, update 4 will contain fixes for current bugs, and update 5 will contain the specific X1000 code, and possibly some more fixes found during that month.

And once again I'm wondering how to ship this thing to Istanbul without worrying about what would happen at the customs... After my XSurf disaster that is.. (I bought an XSurf and I found the card out of its box lying on the ground when I went there to get it. When I got home, it didn't work the test program complaining about faulty memory read write)
I'm not even sure whether I pay extra to get this case from the customs. We'll need to arrange couple of things before buying them in Istanbul I think. Best if we buy several units at once.

I'm guessing it would be safer to go there by plane, take the package and return back. :)

Imho there just not done onboard audio/networks drivers, and so uses some cards for which drivers are done for some time.

Can you provide a link to the pre-order page? I can't seem to find it. When I select "OS4.1 Systems" on AmigaKit's web site it shows me keyboards, a mouse and a wireless card, but no systems.

Little bit confused with the price and specs, as it says the X1000 First Contact ltd will include Os4.1 but then the price says it excludes Os4, any way I guess when Amigakit have it up online it will be better to understand.

Plus how many is it limited by? then afterwards will there be a full release with OS4.2 and will that be the only change? Will there be white AmigaONE Keyboards? And this is completely customer protected so that if there is a problem we can get it repaired or refund. Just want to be sure of a few things as this is a lot of money, but great News never the less.

about as expansive as it was expected to be. Nice to see it on the market, looking forward to youtube videos and demos.

My only suggestion for A-eon/Hyperion would be to stop releasing hardware without 100% software support behind it(that is, all drivers included and working).
