@Deniil715
The competitor of flash is silverlight which is a Microsoft system. If, then the xbox one solution would be silverlight.

Money rules. Why should m$ allow html5 enabled devices to be on par with a xbox?

Flash and silverlight are (slowly) dying, so yeah they can compete each other but who cares.
Both are dead end so long live to HTML5!

@Deniil715

I do not think that it has to do with "hate" in business world but economics. On all Apple devices Flash is not available and that is still a big market. On Android Flash can get installed but I do not know how many really have it.

@OlafS25

On that thread that someone linked, there were people clearly showing emotions in regards to flash

@Deniil715

ah ok

I have read the discussion. As I understand it it is a user discussion where people want to get HTML5 but no developer or manager involved. I personal have dropped Flash because more and more people use devices for web browsing that do not support Flash. And that is rational decision.

@Breed,

After thinking, I noticed my Android phone does not have flash and it can run Spotify and I Heart Radio just fine, how is that done?

Flash is all over both Android and iOS. Just not in the web browsers.

If a 68k port is made I will gladly chip in.

That strikes me as a tad unlikely,.

A 68k port ? Just remind me what kind of CPU is already needed to decode MP3s ?

I do not understand why people always talk about that... most 68k is running on modern hardware

@K-L

Well, MAS player or Prisma is easy access soundboard for mp3 playback on 68k machines, and if/when Apollo accelerator arrives for other Amigas than just a600 I assume You wont even need the soundboards.

Mas player seems to limit you to 192 bit mp3's, not sure about Prisma.

Still assume Spotify for 68k is very unlikely.

this project was dead to begin with, no matter what platform, which is proven enough by no progress since almost four years. no need to discuss it any furher.

@wawa

Discussions about pointless topics? I thought that is very essence of AmigaWorld.net.

It has been announced that Flash's days are numbered. What will Spotify replace it with?
