@AmigaBlitter

Hmmm.. there is an Amiga OS4 version of REBOL 3 available on the REBOL home page. Does anyone know if the REBOL 2.3 commands and user guide apply to REBOL 3? The PDF user guide for REBOL 2.3 can be found here: http://www.rebol.com/docs/core.pdf

@AmigaBlitter

What does "abandoned since 1.5 year" mean, I wonder?

And what about Carl -- his last blog post was almost a year ago. I hope he hasn't experienced a serious guru meditation.

"Infocessories is pleased to present our initial offering: Amiga REBOL 1.2!
This distribution disk contains the REBOL Core and REBOL View facilities for the Amiga - and 26 other platforms as well!"

Another "Where's Waldo" site - there is no way to download this "distribution" CD. Heck, I might just as well set up a site offering the same thing, no reason to actually put any effort into it. Don't you guys ever get tired of the half-assedness?

http://www.rebol.com/r3/downloads.html

But you're right. Who would think to find a download in a directory called "downloads". [end sarcasm]

I just D/L the user guide played around with REBOL for a while and it appears that some things work but the "console word completion" doesn't. I tried the old REBOL years ago on my classic Amiga but was put off by the fact that most of the GUI apps were on the REBOL Web site and not local files. At the time that concept didn't really make sense to me on a dialup connection but now I recognize it as a sort of "cloud computing". I lost interest after purchasing the book "REBOL - The official guide" and discovered that it was 700+ pages of incomprehensible material (for me anyway). The user guide you linked to is a much better starting point but what what I need is something like "REBOL programming for dummies".

By the way, there is some mention mention of REBOL at the bottom of Steven Solie Home .

I think jorkany was referring to the infoaccesories site which doesn't indicate any way to download/purchase/obtain their distribution CD (other than at the show).
