Farewell!

Edit: My C64 is still right here under my table, so good memories I have.

@Thread

Thank you Jack. You were a man that suffered no fools, but you knew how to make money by piling them high and selling them cheap. You were the anti-thesis of Steve Jobs yet you made better computers for less money and even out lived him. I'm just sad you never got to preside over the Amiga era but Irving Gould was a money grabbing fool who chose money & control of Commodore CEOs over his business partner. You were the man Alan Sugar attempted to be. Rest in peace.

I guess this is why Leonard Tramiel never responded to my request to have a big birthday card for Jack's next birthday....

I admire Jack's example, a man chosen to do what He did by Hashem..

R.I.P Jack Tramiel, my thoughts go out to your family.

Thank you so much for making the C64 and tarting off my love of gaming/computers.

You will be missed by all.

RIP JackTramiel,

You were in control of Commodore for my first 3 computers CBM4032, C64, C128 and by all accounts you were a hard task master but, given your personal family history (Auschwitz survivor) it's perhaps no surprise.

I wonder how the Amiga (& Commodore) would have turned out if you had remained at Commodore? It will be interesting to see how the revisionist Microsoft/Apple media commemorate one of the great icons of the Personal computer age.
