I bought an AmigaOne 500 recently. I've had constant struggles with hardware. The first struggle was using a hard drive on the build-in SATA port. I reported my problems on an Amigaworld forum and got lots of suggestions. Many people immediately assume you're a dummy who did something wrong. After wasting time on this for a while, people get serious and you start getting some useful information. After spending hours inserting cards and then pulling them and moving cables around I discovered by myself that it was a compatibility problem. The hard drives that didn't work would never work. It seems like there are several people having problems with the SAM 460 / AmigaOne 500. What I'm wondering is is there anybody out there who knows about the compatibility problems? Just a couple of sentences would have saved me hours of messing around and possibly damaging something. We need the people with answers to communicate with the people with questions. Is there somebody who knows that common hardware won't work with the SAM 460? It would be useful if the SAM 460 would come with an insert that described compatibility problems so that people would not damage their very expensive purchase.

@thinkchip

If you can not get your question answered here:
Platform: AmigaOne 500 and Sam series

Then all I can suggest is writing to Max at Acube directly.
