Hi All,

I have decided from this week to start a blog focused on the AmigaOne X1000 system.

It will include tips and tricks I have learnt to get stuff working on the X1000, applications or utilities of interest on AmigaOS 4.1.5, and general X1000 information of possible help or interest to current or future AmigaOne X1000 users.

The website is http://amigax1000.blogspot.com.au/

I am adding new content as I try more stuff out, and I have a backlog of stuff already done to add in, so expect to see a lot more content added reasonably regularly to what is already there.

I hope over time it will ultimately be useful, helpful or interesting to somebody out there. If nothing else it allows me to collect tips and tricks I learn in one place for easy reference later on.

Catcha,
Epsilon

Bah. Technically he's spot on. That reality is in the hands of lawyers.

Surely things will turn out great. They always do when lawyers are involved.

Congratulations on an excellent Blog Site! I had not thought about doing a blog and was only going to do something similar as a document that would grow and be updated from time to time. Your idea is much better. I might still do the document and upload it to a couple of places, but as an alternative to me creating a document that mirrors what you are doing, maybe I should just volunteer to help you do research for your blog and send you the information that I find out? Would you like any volunteers to help you with content for your Blog?

Your Blog is very useful for new OS4.x users like myself who struggle with setting some things up, to run programs or games that do not have installation scripts that do everything for the beginner and need some expertise to get working correctly.

Again, congratulations for this great idea and also for the content that you have already started with.

And those owners don't happen to be Commodore USA LLC whom are a company selling off the shelf PC's at crazy prices and whom happen to have purchased a licence to use the Commodore name and are NOT THE OWNERS of the Commodore name nor are they in a way to be confused by the real Commodore and that should be made clear whenever CUSA try to make false claims that they are Commodore...

Please post the link to any new legal documents that back up your statement: here so we don't drag this thread off-topic.

@amigadave

I have lots of various interests in Amiga but certainly I don't know everything there is to experience on the X1000 - far from it!

I am very happy to have volunteer helpers like yourself who can research AmigaOne X1000 related content to add to the blog!

My idea is to build up a kind of knowledge base over time of things that AmigaOne X1000 current and future owners might find interesting and helpful, all in one place.

@all

Thanks all for your kind words so far about my blog...it is very much appreciated.

I think we have a great computer in the AmigaOne X1000 and AmigaOS 4.1.5 and I am very keen to spread useful information about it on the blog.

I added some more content today to the blog about MUI-OWB and also a mini-review of 1941 Extreme Deluxe 2 on X1000.

More to come!

Epsilon

Hi All,

I have updated my blog this week with a getting started setup guide for the recently released AmiCygnix 1.1 on AmigaOS4 under X1000, including getting my old website successfully hosted on Apache on the X1000. Spent a bit of time on this one!

Also included is a blog entry on HP printer setup on the X1000.

Today I also added some more stuff on HD wallpapers on the X1000.

Hope there is some useful info in there, and if not, then I hope that it is interesting to read anyway!

Click here for my blog!
