This is mainly a FYI for AW finnish readers.

There was a small summer event being put together for Finnish Amiga Users.
But it's now canceled.

@PR

Ok, "Corvette Show & Meet -... sunnuntaina 8.7.2012" collides a little.

Amiga meeting will be "somewhere" in Tampere.
(about the toilet talk ... we were being a little bit modest when planning the place of the event )

Anyway, Tampere is only 1 hour from Kouvola (when Vette is used for the travel).

@KimmoK

Jippii, now I know it can not happen:

200km can easily be droven under 1 hour But now I'm just happy to get my card back from some other missunderstanding. (Not speeding)

Tampere could be also 3 hours away if we "cruise" easily that some owners of japanese or german car people can't understand at here ;) American car idiots at their hobby summer You know, they have fun, why don't we have?

I don't care if You run Morphos or AOS or anything else but why come and whine with Your nice new Audi or BMW or Mercedes or the washing machines if You are not saturated with Your car?

(No offence offcourse for anyone but in here we have a tradition to get the good looking cars outside at summer and leave the pc-win-like bad looking ones at the woods, mass cars for a while.)

Same at Amiga Arena.

OK. My XE is on repair, my 060PIV is on repair(?) if I get up tomorrow and Boogie is there and maybe there is a place to repair the car too if it is too hot as the air condition should be repaired also if with roof..

We could have a place to stay at near Vantaa BUT take a 2-year girl with a pregnant wife anywhere with a two seated sports car If not driving together with the 7 seated "van"at the back... Sorry Not possible.

That's it .

Well there could be a lot of room as there is only 3 seats atm in place so its like a van.

Drove off some old beds and bought a new door to an apartment inside the car.
Without this peräkärry;) I don't know what this trailer is called but there could be serious space for some other things too.

Now as the going is to there before 12 and maybe all the way back drive along at 17:00 joined up You know;)

Should I see Ya In Tampere or not? Maybe later man;) Better not.

The Roads are so crap in Finland now, in the most expensive country in the World with the 80-90% taxes or so in gasoline etc. so we just can not afford to break our old 25 years+ classic cars at the slowing bumps what are made where there suddenly is some money?
(and cameras for 100000e./each? , Boing) Long Live Finland! The Freedom country!

Please USA. Give Sauli Niinistö a snap at his head and tell him to reduce the price of the gasoline or we won't buy Your old (rotten) fancy cars anymore?

Heh, only 80-90% in tax?

Here the Gasoline tax is actually even higher. ( in 2010).

@all

Not enough interest & activity, event is CANCELED.

Hopefully we manage to arrange the yearly autumn meeting better.

to Finns:
-Muistakaa tsekkailla kotimaan foorumia ja osallistua keskusteluun jotta saadaan tapahtumat onnistumaan. Vuosikokous syksyllä ja mahdollisesti pikkujoulut talvella lienevät seuraavat viralliset häppeningit.
