Latest News For Zach Weddington at Viva Amiga...

Project Update #19: Viva Amiga Status Report
Posted by Zach Weddington
Now available on the blog site.

http://vivaamigafilm.blogspot.com/

Just some news about my status and what's been happening in my life. Things are looking better than ever. I had an aggressive deadline set to have the story mapped out this fall, and now I will be able to meet it! Check the blog for details. Very good news.

Thanks all. Stay with me! The film is gonna rock. I can't believe the footage we have.

Zach

The following is the text from Zachs latest blog (available at http://vivaamigafilm.blogspot.co.uk/)

Here's what's been happening!

I've been able to get a good amount of editing done on the story cut, but I found that working a very demanding job was sucking away all my free time. And also, all my down time was wasted at work too: I could have been doing more editing during the day, but understandably, my boss wasn't keen on me editing my film at work.

So I did something I have been dreaming of doing forever.

I broke free and am doing my own production company full time.

Please check it out and tell your friends. We are open for business.

www.rocksteadymediaservices.com

I got a great client already and am already making great videos for them...all out of my home office. And I've got WAY more time for the film! This is the spirit of the Amiga as I always saw it. Just doing it yourself, right?

I am reenergized and excited about the film like never before! My creativity is at a peak now!

So we will be on track. I promised story edit this fall. It'll be there in about 6 weeks. And yeah, finished film late next year.

Stay tuned everyone. Thanks again for the support.

Zach

{PS: Anyone know what happened to the original thread for this topic !!!)

Nah... that's not it... it was one I started myself quite some time ago to post any updates about Viva Amiga but I can't seem to find it...

The "search" function on this site aint very good when it comes to finding old posts especially your own ones (they should take a look at how A.org does theirs, much easier to find what your looking for)...

@Franko

Hello!

I am starting a new tv channel called TVNorden. Our goal now is that the channel will go on-line next Monday at 19.00CET!

I am very interested in showing your Viva Amiga Documentary on the channel. TVNorden is a channel that wants to bring joy and entertainment as it should be on TV! The logo is made on Amiga, so it got Amiga feeling to it all the way.

Most interesting is FXTV! Everyday from 21.00 to 22.00, there will be Amiga content!

Check out our website:
www.tvnorden.com

and please send us a note Franko! We want to broadcast your documentary on the channel. You have made a great promo for Viva Amiga also. I feel the same as you with editing stuff, in the end I started for myself and now got more control of things.

Mail us: support@tvnorden.com

@AmiDelf2

Erm... it's not my documentary I'm only posting about it...

It's a documentary being produced by a chap called Zach Weddington and is scheduled for release on DVD in the autumn of 2013...

It is a project funded via Kickstarter and is going to be a commercial product for sale and for those whom helped fund it via Kickstarter...

I doubt Zach would be willing to give away his film for free when it is finished but only he can answer that...

Suggest you contact Zach via his Facebook page or via the Viva Amiga website...

Two things to look forward to in 2013 then... VIVA AMIGA the documentary and Petro T. Tyschtschenkos autobiography " Amiga and Commodore my life" in which he promises to tell us all what exactly went on at Commodore and and why the Amiga was allowed to die with no holding back...

Will be an interesting read, even though I doubt Petro knows a lot of what happened within Amiga inc in the last period after amino got it from gatesway.

Petro, Sorry I "put You in the Corner" in Finlands visit but at the time Amiga was wrapped up and shelfed.

Now there is no need for AGA "2", only for the new ppc machine, video drivers and OS4,2xxx... "Only";) Still sticking around.

Back for the future;)

Guess we'll have to wait and see... though people do tend to spill the beans when they write an autobiography as they usually only do so when they feel there is a safe nough distance between them and events of the past...

Who knows, maybe it'll prompt uncle Bill and even Medhi Ali to write theirs and from all 3 of em we can finally work out what really happened behind closed doors at Commodore...

Bill Macs could be titled :"How I got Rich Promising T''shirts"...

& Medhi Ali could title his "Take The Money and Run - How To Retire In Comfort To The Bahamas"

Medhi Ali didn't retire after Commodore. Someone came across Stone Ridge Partners a number of years ago.

"His prior experience includes serving as the President of Commodore International, where he accomplished a major operational turnaround."

Hey number6, you're back! did you get your AmigaOne working or a new one?

we've missed you! Be sure to go grab a "fixed" version of Dopus Magellan for OS4. You have a lot of catching up to do!

(sorry to be off topic here).

@scabit

I'm in the process of getting multiple platforms repaired. Still using a loaner while the repairs are being done. Just catching up on my reading while I patiently wait.

Latest Update from Zach Weddington on The VIVA AMIGA documentary...

Project Update #21: Finalized Chapter in the works
Posted by Zach Weddington

Quote:
Hey All
Still working here. Feeling damned good about the film. Finally all of the damned sorting and sifting is over, and I am creating actual chapters that flow and are watchable. Feels so good to see all my hard work coming together.

The goal is to have a finished chapter with music, sound mixing an animation for Easter. If we don't make March 31, I can promise April 15.

The chapter is called The Revolution Begins/The Glory Days. (It's actually 2 chapters, according to my script, but they blend together). One of the most upbeat and exciting chapters in the film. People talk about the seeing the amiga for the first time, and how it changed their worlds, and what they did with the Amiga.

I figured this would be a good chapter to release to keep people excited. It will be on amigafilm.com, youtube. etc.
Keep your eyes out for it. And thanks again for your support.

Zach
