Well its 10 years since I joined this forum. Its been an eventful period, we've seen the release of MOS and OS4; we've seen hardware companies come and go.

A lots happened for me personally too which I won't go into save for the fact that I'm about to start a fabulous new life in the land of the free.

I've enjoyed this website, had good times and disagreements with some of you but on the whole its been great, even during some pretty dark times both personally and professionally, this place has been a good retreat and I've met some great friends here.

I still really enjoy my Amigas, more classic gaming of late. I guess I'd sit within the OS4 camp due to owning an A1XE but I've got time for all Amiga flavours - Amigans, whatever guise, can be some of the friendliest, hospitable people you can meet (remember VCF Saturday night Steveiu and Rigo ) and I have some brilliant memories (well ok maybe not that night, too many sherbets).

Anyway, thanks all, disagreements and everything.
Its been fun, heres to the next 10.

Special thanks to DaveyD, the admins and the mods over the years, you've been awesome.

With kind regards,
Rude!

You're moving to Scotland?

@Rudei

We have certainly had our moments in that time frame.

The staff do a tremendous job in trying to keep things civil here, but ultimately, the site is what it is because of its members. Everyone contributes to make the site somewhere to visit, chat (occasionally throw a tantrum) and offer help/advice on a plethora of topics (not necessarily all Amiga related).

So a thank you to all of you who contribute and make this place worth visiting.

@Rudei

Well as the mad cow said you must be moving to Scotland as it is the ONLY land of the free, everywhere else just like to think they are but aren't really…

Gotta say though, I admire your optimism in believing we will all still be here in 10 years time cos according to the Mayans (& Dammy) most of us won't be around in a few weeks time, which could be a good thing I suppose as It means I can't won't get banned as there'll be no one left to get upset when they misconstrue my posts…

PS: even though I've only been on this site for just over two years I've gotta say, sometimes it feels like 10 years for me too…

PPS: Did you notice I never blamed the English for anything in this post...

What are you talking about? All you humans are trapped on this rock whizzing round your star. The only real freedom is to become mad. My fellow crazy peeps and I regularly zoom off to other planets.

Sanity is your prison, break free my fairy bumps! Fly you fools!

They were right! I say "were" because taking into account leap years (which the Mayans didn't have) and other minor yet significant changed between our calendars since then, the world (and the the Mayan calender) ended a couple of years ago.

Humans are just really slow at figuring stuff out, you'll realise eventually that you've all been dead for quite some time.

BTW, it was the English that destroyed the world two years ago.

I've never said I was human... I'm Scottish I'll have you know there's a big difference between being Scottish and being human...

Never been sane either, not good for you you know whether you're human or a blurb like me...

Wondered why my annual subscription to Readers Digest stopped a couple of years ago, suppose that explains it...

I miss not having something to wipe me bum with and I'm running out of hamsters...

So that's why I don't get any visitors anymore...

Mind you I don't mind dead people but I don't really have much space left for more of em under me floorboards... so maybe it's a good thing all round...

True... them buggers spoil everything they stick their big sassenach noses into...

@Rudei

I miss the really hard core "old school" days of game playing (before home computers or the internet), try playing "I Spy" with a penpal living on another content via mail… a single game could last a couple of years before someone guessed the right answer and posted it…

Life was different back then…

Mind you I suppose It hasn't changed that much for me really, I still send hand written letters… not sure if they get there though as I haven't had a reply for about 20 years, guess me penpal is just too busy to find time to reply (either that or he's dead) but that's no reason for me not to keep sending them…

Hmmm… think I'd better send him a quick letter and ask how he is after the last heart attack he had (still say it was caused from the shock he got when I guessed the "S" was for "Spider" that he was watching in the corner of his cell)…

Mind you I suppose a heart attack is nothing to worry about when your sitting on death row...

@Rudei

I'm glad of all the help I got to make 3CAG fun for all.

They were great days indeed... It's still just as cold in my garage now !!

Have fun Stateside mate. My Mum, Sis & Bro all live over there too.

Do they have Vtec Yo over there though ?

Btw.. Guess what I drive now !!

And here's a blast from the past.

Hey mate how are you?
Yeah 3CAG was awesome, brilliant days especially the bbq meeting I attended.

Liking the car, my Integra is just about to be sold so sad times but a damn good run no less.

How's everyone doing your side?
