A new version of the Commodore emulator is out, hopefully this time supports joysticks connected to an OS4 Amiga...

I tried the OS4 binaries on my Sam440, but all of them get a DSI error (x128, x64, with/without sound etc.). I also tried to increase the stack, no effect... ;-(

Please report here, if anybody gets to run the latest version on his OS4 Amiga.

I know what's wrong with the joysticks. Commodore 64 joysticks were just 5 on-off switches. Modern joysticks are proportional plus some other stuff. The Amiga joystick driver should have a 64 joystick emulator setting.

The OS4 binaries don't work for me. Tried the MOS version too, which is working, however I am not able to use the joypads there.

Sometimes the Catweasel AmigaInput driver misbehaves if there's no Catweasel. Delete the Catweasel driver in libs:amigainput/ if you don't have one.

@joeled

exactly the same here... OS 4.1 U5 on Pegasos II... MOS binaries do work but didn't test any further...

Cheers,

@Thread

Please try
www.mutant-caterpillar.co.uk/ian_stuff/vice2.4_test.lha

This is a debug build with some fixes from the released source, but it still doesn't run on my PegII (with a different error). Please try on another machine for me!

N.B. I'm not involved with the VICE team.

@Spirantho

Just tried your version and freezes the hole system just after the vice window appears. It also hides the console output, the last thing displayed is about the floppy.
I tried to redirect the debug output to a file by running the x64 from cli, increasing the stack before running the .exe "x64 >work:x64-debug.txt", just got an empty file.

I managed to get a SnoopDos Log:

P.S. Is there a BBcode to show/hide content (like spoilers, to make the post more readable)?

@Cass

Good, thanks- that's exactly what I'm getting. It's a problem in video.c's BltBitMapRastPort() call somewhere. I'll try and take a look at it later, maybe the weekend.
