| I have this slight problem. I have configured MPlayer before (using a Pegasos2 machine) to automatically open a video, but now when I click on the icon, it just loads MPlayer and not playing the video as before.
Also I have configured GetVideo with MUI-OWB and I was able to play or download videos from YouTube for example, but now nothing happens.
Any ideas? Last edited by Phantom on 05-Dec-2012 at 12:28 AM. Last edited by Phantom on 05-Dec-2012 at 12:28 AM.

Use the altavic version of MUIMPlayer found on OS4Depot then either use the following option from the command line to tell it what video driver to use or add teh line below it to the MUIMPlayer config file sound in the conf directory where MUIMPlayer is located.
command line option: -vo cgx_wpa Line to add to config file: vo=cgx_wpa
If you add the line to the config file you won't need to specify the -vo option.
Enjoy your X1000! _________________ Kevin - X1000 First Contact / uA1 |

I use already the Altivec version (Pegasos2 has Altivec too). I did your changes but nothing happens.
MPlayer works if you run it and select a file, but it doesn't work as before, like doesn't work at all with GetVideo and MUI-OWB, and doesn't play automatically the video when I double-clicked on it. I must always select the file again. _________________

It's likely not enough to specify a program to open file with (some programs need only filename, others expect -i file or similar)
No idea how this is done with OS4, but in MorphOS I use mplayer %sp (%sp getting replaced by path & filename automatically) - check that last part from some other filetype that works.
Also, I don't think this problem has anything to do with mplayer, but rather default icons configuration. |

Assuming it's more-or-less the same as the MorphOS version, you may want to also check default options in progdir/conf/config (text file). _________________ Troll - n., A disenfranchised former potential customer who remains interested enough to stay informed and express critical opinions. opp., the vast majority who voted silently with their feet. |

For getvideo I have modified the following lines in the getVideo.cfg found in Prefs/Env-Archive to look as follows:
;# here as examples the default settings save_http = 'APPDIR:wget -c -O "Ram:%d" "%s"' save_rtmp = 'APPDIR:rtmpdump' save_mms = 'APPDIR:MUIMPlayer >nil: -dumpfile "Ram:%d" -dumpstream "%S" -really-quiet' play_file = 'APPDIR:MUIMPlayer >nil: *>nil: "%d" -cache 4096 -really-quiet -vo cgx_wpa::PUBSCREEN=MUIOWB' play_stream = 'APPDIR:MUIMPlayer >nil: *>nil: "%S" -vo cgx_wpa::PUBSCREEN=MUIOWB -cache 8192 -really-quiet'
Quote:
Added the following to the Contextual Menus:
Category: Link Label: Play with MPlayer Action: run > NIL: AppDir:MUIMPLayer %l -cache 4096 -vo cgx_wpa::PUBSCREEN=MUIOWB -really-quiet
Category: Page Label: Quit MPlayer Action: break NAME #?mplayer#?
Category: Link Label: Play with GetVIdeo Action: run > NIL: RX getvideo %l play
Category: Link Label: Save with GetVideo Action: RX getvideo %l save

You'll need to setup Def Icons to specify the file types and the player you want to use. Check how you had them set up on your peg2. Should work the same on the X1000.
Here is what my MUIMPlayer config file looks like:
# Write your default config options here!
# you can set up a list of vo with their own options. The one below is what mplayer handles by default. vo=cgx_wpa mc=0
# Set audio driver below. (ahi = non-shared, ahi_dev = shared) ao=ahi_dev
# device:unit on which dvd drive is connected. dvd-device=isb600sata.device:1
# averages audio/video synchronisation delays, and in pratice gives a smoother playback. autosync=30
# enable screenshot filter-> press s to capture. vf=screenshot
# enable menu -> press 'c' to show menu when playing video. menu=1
# you can increase ac3 level with this option instead of using -af volume= that causes more distortion, when using liba52 driver. #a52volume=10
# for H264 files, it can improve speed by disabling totally or partially loopfilter lavdopts=skiploopfilter=all
# Prevent shell output information really-quiet=1

I wouldn't do skiploopfilter=all on an X1000... at least not in a config file. _________________ : AmigaOneXE (unmod.) 750FX/512 MB +stuff & AmigaOS 4.(0|1) : A1200/68060&96MB/SCSI/EM1200-Voodoo3 & OS 3.5 : A500/1MB : Pegasos (ff) 512 MB & MorphOS Praise seitan. |
