Seems there is a linux distribution known as OS4 Enterprise

Notice some of the Blog post titles.

'OS4 kernel 3.9 updater'
'OS4 Enterprise Linux 4.1 Released'
'OS4 and Kernel 3.5'

Strange how the numbering concedes with some Amiga rom and wb versions;

'OS4 OpenLinux 13.5 Dedication'
We are dedicating OS4 OpenLinux 13.5 to Barry Altman < --- hmmm curious???

OS4 OpenLinux 13.5 Dedication We are dedicating OS4 OpenLinux 13.5 to Barry Altman. Barry was the CEO of CommodoreUSA and his family didnt want a lot of media exposure or noise. I was informed by Barry's son of his passing. Barry in many ways contributed just as much to the development of OS4 as he did to Commodore OS Vision and Fusion, and while we may have butted heads. Yes I butt heads with people sometimes and while Barry may have thought he was right, I always knew I was right. Barry did a lot in his lifetime pertaining to telecommunications and contributing ideas and thoughts in terms of software development and it was an extreme honor to know him, to call him a friend, to argue with him. One of the many bits of advice Barry did level at me was this, "You dont have to do everything yourself. Assemble a kick ass team and let them do just as much work as you do." When people ask me about the greats in the software industry, despite the criticisms leveled against Barry, he will always come to my mind. So my condolences to Barrys family, his friends and to coin a phrase, "This ones for you kid." Goodbye Barry.

Other than that Barrys name will live in fame of Linux, nothing special.

@TheAMIgaOne

It was discussed before - has nothing common with (or against) Amiga or "our" OS4.

Relationship with AmigaOS:

http://www.os4online.com/2012/10/more-e-mail-questions.html (Q2)

Edit: And it is only OS4 you can use on x86.

Yes I've come across this before. And I am surprised it isn't well known after being discovered. After all, this is OS4 on x86!

I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

That dedication will surely keep me sticking to official Debian and Mint
