Edit: No it's probably a Xilinx Spartan fpga again.

The exact model is Xilinx Spartan XC3S700A:

Thanks. Not much room to play. It's much smaller than the fpgaArcade Xilinx XC3S1600E Spartan-3E but it's relatively fast for the size. Without 68020+AGA it better be cheap to compete with the fpgaArcade. It is nice that it has built-in USB though.

Well congrats to ACube, this is the best kind of market to invest in :)

So do we have a definitive answer from you FPGA guys if an AGA core will fit or not?

AGA should fit but most AGA games require a 68020. The fpga is on the small side to add a 68020 fpga CPU. It may be possible but it wouldn't be fast.

I think you are wrong. Acube certainly could not earn enough money for living by selling hardware with AmigaOS. It is fair to assume that they earn their money by selling their hardware to industrial customers (embedded market) with linux preinstalled. That AmigaOS also runs is a additional small market but certainly not their main market for the hardware.

Interesting and perhaps overlooked interview that says entirely the opposite.
This gets debated every so often on Amigaworld based on people's memories of what they thought someone said, so it's worth posting in their own words:

Quote:
R.P.: Have you sold any worth mentioning amount of boards outside the Amiga market? Either to hobby / computer enthusiasts (mostly Linux community) and/or embedded clients? A-EON has responded that their sole market is the Amiga market.

Quote:
A.C.: We sell boards also outside the Amiga market even if Amigans are the most of our customers.

If the page date is correct, then the info is quite current.

@pavlor

Impossible to say without a bill of materials.

If you knew that you could subtract the cost of the FPGA, the SM502 and any other components not present.
