@Bugala

hate to say this but you are really trying very hard to kick the bucket here... yes i and you and everyone else who have followed the saga here knows what was said , let me just say it one more time. he said FLOPPY(s) (NOT ADF) included with the box so either way what he would have done people would have started shooting at him...just like you are now.

yes he messed up indeed but the whole story about Sony not liking (or paying) for this promotion stunt is to me very beliveable.

that said, do i belive this was a PR Stunt?, both yes and no and i am 100% sure he regret doing it now.

and finally... i am still not confident in that this game will be released :(

Very nice. I have already "liked" it

Only 42 "likes". Man, this community is realy small...

Or as people have said, could be that most of us just don't have or want a facebook account.

The latest comment on the System 3 Facebook Page seems promising;

Quote:
System 3 Software 11 minutes ago

Please check back later tonight for our announcement to all our Putty Squad fans. Happy Christmas

It could include the unveiling of the Amiga .ADF file?

@Rudei

Sweet!

Thanks for the link! Amazing that it's finally happened! It's a similar feeling to ADoom being released all those years ago!

Thank you System 3, you finally came good! What a great Christmas present and I thought I wasn't going to get any games in my stocking this year... awesome.

A great little present from System3 - I've posted it across both the major social networking sites.

Whilst I am here, one big Merry Christmas from myself personally, and in advance a Happy New Year to you all.

@asymetrix

It must have been ready to ship in 1994. The only issue was getting the the expertise from the Amiga community to help recompile from the original source code and to get the ADF files ready for distribution. I'm glad they extended the invitation to Amiga specialists to make it happen, they definitely didn't need to do that.

Merry Christmas System 3 and the Amiga community guys involved (Edit: That'll be Galahad then)!

I'm having great fun with this game and my 4 month old daughter loves the cartoon graphics but I'm having difficulty ejecting from the ZID Pod power up. It seems to use hit points as fuel and I don't always want to fully drain my health even though it is fun flying around dropping Nitro-Bombs on those furballs

Any ideas guys? How do you eject?

@BigD

I've been using fire+down to eject, although I'm not sure that's exactly the right combination because he always seems to drop a nitro bomb before jumping out.

@Toaks

Actually you misunderstood me. I meant to be pretty positive with my last comment.

For my point was that while i indeed was wondering where is this supposed amiga community guy as I would have expected there to having came confirmation announcement from him, it had at same time been such a strange and fat lie, that it would be hard to believe system 3 would make such a lie anymore, especially since they would know they would get caught on that.

Anyway, good all our doubts were proven wrong, for especially after that retrogamer article thing i have to say that i thought that maybe I only believe it might still be coming out, since I am always too positively thinking of everyone.

Like I all the way until they told they had stopped the project thought that the Natami would be coming out. I didnt doubt it much at all at any point of not happening.

@System 3 and Gallahad

Thank you very much from making Putty Squad finally released!

Hope you didnt feel any frustration from any of my posts.

@Chris_Y

Thank you very much. It's easy when you know how:

Hold down the fire button first and then push down.

Similar to going through the end of level door which is:

Hold down the fire button and then push up.

Edit: To get Putty to blow up like a balloon, you seem to have to push up and fire at the same time at least twice!

It didn't help that I had the auto-fire set for fire button 1 as you don't seem to be able to eject if you have this enabled

Thanks for the tip!

I tried it. You actually have to jump and push UP x3 times without pressing fire.

It's very slow and takes damage but it works. :)
