I am in the process of preparing the next update of AROS Vision. I have permission to include the full version of Wildfire 7 and I got contact to the author of "Games Master System" and have permission to include it. It is really a great piece of 68k software.

Download here:

Anyone has experience with it? If the author has no key anyone who still own one? Is the key necessary?

Two screenshots from included demos

@OlafS25

I'd not heard of it before but it sounds like it provides a lot of useful functions for games programmers.

I remember one of the old CU Amiga CDs came with a load of Wildfire anims. By the look of the specs it should run fine udner OS4 and MorphOS too. I'll give it a try some time.

Thanks for gettting the permission from the authors.

@Rob

the demos look very interesting. It seems that Prefs is crippled without key and I fear that he has no key left. But fun to play with already

@Rob

the reason I found it is because it is used by "The Game extension" for AMOS that offers AGA support by "Game Master System"

Hopefully there is someone out there if the author doesn't have it. Have you publicised this EAB and A1k.org?
Failing that, it may be possible that somone could dissasemble the code and remove the key check.

@OlafS25

I'm glad you convinced the author to release it. The license is really bad.

@Samurai_Crow

I have just tested "The Game Extension" in AMOS that is based on "Game Master System". It supports AGA including Sprites and Bobs

To test it I wrote this short program that loads a IFF picture and waits till left mouse button pressed:

G Init Gms
G screen open 0,320,256,256,lowres
G Load IFF "clown.pic",0
G Wait Lmb
G reset

Opens AGA screen with 256 colors

@Samurai_Crow

I was just informed that it can be treated as freeware and everyone can use it. No key or sources available anymore.
