You are registered as BAD_IP by Protector.

Hah, Ive been able to read that site forever, but today I decided to register.
I know forums got problems with spambots, but I guess the protrection script is so powerful it weeds
out potential bad posters too!

Not a big deal per see, its just my main PC/Home IP that is blocked now, Im sure Ill be able to read
it from work since I travel ALOT.

Still a bit annoying.

Who to mail to get that lifted?

@Overflow

I'm on dymanic IP so if I get problems I tend to power cycle the router. I know this is not reallly a solution, but can be a temporary fix.

I am on adsl2+ with so called dynamic ip as well but yet the ip has not changed in over a year if not 2
My isp seems to change them randomly about once a year or less and power cycling the router does not help at all.
So if I were to get a new ip that were for some reason banned I would be completely out of luck.

I think banning ips like that for such a long period makes absolutely no sense at all when there is a big chance that other legitimate users might get that ip later.
Surely must be another way to deal with spambots than banning them for decades....

Oh, don't be such a whiner. Just wait it out. It's only 24 years, I doubt you'll miss much.

Send an official fax to your ISP.
Calling by phone to their help call center is not a good solution as it needs to be issued an official complaint file and it needs to be tracked its transit into ISP offices.

If your ISP allocates dinamically IP addresses then it is up to them the task to un-block the banned IP address from authority and in the meanwhile assigning a new IP address to you.

You are not guilty if someone made something bad using same IP address before it was assigned to you and you have full rights to navigate internet.

@Raffaele

I think I did a "oops" when trying to register. At the end of registration you have to check a box and answer the spambot prevention question.
I put in the correct answer, but THINK I might have forgotten to check the box.

Instead of telling you that "incomplete form", it just went ahead to insta ban me.

Thats what I think anyhow.

Im not gonna bother with ISP fax. If Amigans.net decide to have such a retarded system Im just gonna read it when at work/hotels using my laptop.

Oh... forgive me. I mistook your message.

I understood you have bad IP problems with various sites that were evidenced by Amigans.net...

While you have been banned for bad IP just by Amigans site.
