Thanks for the link - that Amiga software looks seriously cool to play around with!
As a former Protracker mod musician I want to try it out

After months of excitment of waiting for this cool program i cant get it to run. I tried it on both an A600 w 1mb ram 3.1 rom from floppy and hd, and from an 1200 2mb 3.1 rom from floppy both NTSC. i dont think this program supports NTSC? It loads to a point then its a blank screen. When i try from shell nothing happens?? is it PAL only? How to force PAL mode to test? early startup screen does NOT hold PAl mode. |

I havent even tested this program, I just copy pasted the info from another site since I found it quite intresting.
Quote:
Did you load straight to it or did you execute it from Workbench? I don't check a.org that much really so if you can send us an email to pt1210@kikencorp.com with more details i'd really appreciate it. The software is supposed to be run independently and not from Workbench, if you did load it from WB, try again loading straight from it. If you loaded straight to it, we'll check it out, although it'd be hard to test as we don't have an 060 for dev purposes |

I'd love to see this in operation at AmiWest. If anyone has this software and kit and can make it to the show let me know!

Excellent program. Unfortunately it just plays .mod-files - is there a similar Amiga software to play MP3s - like two AmigaAmps connected to a DJ mixer console?
I'm looking for a good DJ software for the Amiga that can play from various sources like MP3s, tape, CDs or even Vinyl records since ages... _________________ Ciao

I guess the closest thing is for MorphOS: http://amigaworld.net/modules/news/article.php?storyid=7133_________________ - The wiki based MorphOS Library - Your starting point for MorphOS - Software made by jPV^RNO |

I was hoping to get some more work done on DeeJayD sometime. It's still in alpha state and just locked up hard on some version/update of OS4 when more files was listen than could fit in the window. Wierd MUI/GUI bug. Haven't tried it since although that was many updates ago...
Even if DeeJayD makes it possible to do basic DJing manually, it was primarily made to do crossfades and basically to DJ automatically I had ideas about beat detection and auto-sync over to the next song. Currently it only detects silence and does automatic crossfade with silence skipping, has reverb, compressor and dynamic volume normalizer.

Nice - but neither does MorhOS fully support my hardware, nor do I have enough RAM for running SoundBankster in my A4kPPC (just 128 mB)..._________________ Ciao

Hmmm - all I get is a HTTP error 404 - "Website not found"...
But anyhow - that is for OS 4.x - and I just have an experimental OS 4.0 classic install that doesn't support my hardware sufficiently. So currently also no option for me..._________________ Ciao
