I'm a programmer but have neither the skill nor the inclination. However, even if I had both, wouldn't choosing A500 assembler be a bit daft?
I would have thought that an OS-legal version which works across all Amiga-like platforms would make more sense. If that turned out to be too sluggish to run on an A500, maybe then consider an assembler version. Last edited by Robert on 11-Jul-2014 at 12:05 PM. Last edited by Robert on 11-Jul-2014 at 12:04 PM.

Although I do things mostly the OS legal way, I stick to assembler on my A1200 (it's a hobby), and have no problem with writing planar blitting routines (CPU blit), poking the audio hardware directly, and using the Copper (through the OS, of course).

It probably would turn out too sluggish if you use the OS for everything. |

So, in order to "port it to Amiga" you're looking at coding at least three, probably more versions.
This "less than a week" estimate seems increasingly optimistic. _________________ Robert -- A1XE G4, OS4.1. Peg1 G3, MOS 1.4. Abel Soul - Check out our tunes on Spotify |

Depends on what you define as Amiga. For me it's the Commodore and Escom machines, and nothing else.

Yeah, it probably is, especially if you can't, or don't want to, work on it for eight hours a day, every day. Although I'm obviously talking about a single version here, not multiple versions for different platforms.

That's totally insane, almost enough to play Skyrim.Last edited by Thorham on 05-Aug-2014 at 03:42 PM. Last edited by Thorham on 05-Aug-2014 at 03:41 PM.
