Hi,

So it has been confirmed that more than 128MB of RAM will be possible in the
Final Edition? Are you sure this is not the new ExtMem memory type?

128GB!? I always thought we were limited to 2GB?

If you're referring to 128MB (which is the maximum of Cyberstorm PPC - and therefore OS4 limit with WinUAE CPPC emulation) limit, that's a hardware limit and OS4.1 Final won't help a bit. Like Toni said, unless someone writes a patch to OS4 (which I doubt will ever happen) that makes it see other types of WinUAE memory mappings the way m68k AmigaOS can, 128MB is what you'll get (or 256MB with BlizzardPPC).

This is really good news !

this is huge ! Thanks so much Hyperion !

I really do hope we can get programming languages on AmigaOS CDs as standard.

New updated SDL drivers, code examples etc.

Then over the course of updates we can have 1000s code for SDL for Amiga. A whole new games developing community can be established, websites sharing code, creating templates to make games development faster.

That is why Amos was so popular - easy to code and 'just worked' - 30 years later no problems running it.

Once PPC emulation is common and easy to install, we can develop games and apps fast for AmigaOS4, maybe even hire developers on Elance.com.
