As promised here is a first guide for developers and content creators.
http://aeros-os.org/guistore/IndieGO-dev-guide.pdf

Please check especially supported filetypes and that a price of 100 means 1€... this is important ; )
Ohh i forgot:Music, Movies and Magazines are "Platforms" by our definitions.

So if you like to upload music choose "Music" as platform.
This is important for future "3rd-party"/or own clients focused on music /magazines and movies.

Also, while repeating my self, others can ask for accessing the server via our api.
Means:
You could do your own appstore client or enhance existing ones to make use of it as well.
A thread with some infos is here:

This isn't very Amiga-friendly, where are iff|guide|lzx|lzh|adf|mod|med, etc.?

@phoenixkonsole

You don't need lzh, it's just a different suffix for lha archives that nobody has used in decades.

Don't support DMS, the format is a nightmare: lots of partially incompatible and buggy (de)compressors. Use ADF and - provided WinUAE supports this format - ADZ (i.e. gzipped ADF) instead.

Don't support LZX, it's buggy and not Y2K compliant. There are two or three patches to fix the latter, but said patches are not compatible with each other...

Not sure I've seen any "MPG" or "MPEG" files this century. Most stuff I come across iseither AVI or MP4.

For onscreen reading of electronic documents, epub is the better format, so both PDF and epub should be supported. Actually, electronic docs should always be available in both formats, IMHO.

Instead of PDF, try to make people upload in some other format (Markdown, ODT, RTF) that you can convert into PDF and epub on the server. epub is much better for screen reading.

@phoenixkonsole

Your Appstore just keeps sounding more and more interesting the more i learn about it.

1. Can i sign up as a developer even i have nothing to offer? (just wanting to try that out, that is there some sort of demo mode, that it wont become publicly visible until i click some "show public" - button, bit like in youtube videos where they can be private as well)

2. Did i understand right that you could be a developer, although you would have only free stuff to offer?

Just wondering since i have couple of practice games, so i have been thinking of bundling them together and release them as bunch of simple games, for some might enjoy some of them for couple of minutes. This appstore way coudl be good way to release them.

As a registered user, I tried your graphical UI under OS4/X1000, but it's a little bit slow.
Is it planned to be more responsive ? (but maybe it's because of my low internet bandwith...)

And do you have a shortcut to quit without the need to "back-back-back-quit" ?

another bug, when trying the console program,
closing the OS4-Shell window when your console program still active makes crash it.

And as a OS4 (very)amateur developer , do you have a planned date of availability ?

@all
Thanks for Feedback. I will answer in Detail later, i am on the Junp to my work.

In Short:
Thanks cg i will do that and the ePub converter is a good idea.

About "become a developer of i offer free things only"
Yes you can. As Long i can Trust You : )
So i use the Word Content creator. (Themes, icons)

There is a button called active under the own app section which can be set to no.
This means that your app is on the server but no one can see it. (Except admins)
The new interface misses this slider in the create app menu(a bug).
I will request to bring it back.

About performance
You can edit the file global.config to reduce the window size to 0.65 this means 65% of your screen. You can also active window borders there.

The first time you enter a category takes longer because all images will be cached ->the second time you enter the menu will be quicker.

You can use mouse and keyboard.
Esc brings you one level back.

I have updated the guide slightly.

NEW:
We added some more supported file types
We fixed missing english translation in the Developer - UI
And we brought back the "Suggest category button" which was gone by accident (as we rolled out the new ui design

We are glad to announce the availability of an updated version of our Appstore for AmigaOS, AROS, MorphOS, Windows, Linux and OSX.

You can grab it from www.indiego-gaming.com

Changelog:
- FIX : The bug that was causing hangs showing text with long sequqeces of asterisks, dashes, dots and so on should be fixed now.
- NEW : Dropped the old file-based communication system between the AppStore and the Download Manager (DLM), now both programs talk each other using local network messages.
- FIX : Fixed and improved the notification system, now important messages from the DLM will be showed using notifications pop-up.
- NEW : Added support for JoyPad/JoyStick to the entire interface system and to all requesters.
- NEW : AppStore and Download Manager can safely run separately.
- FIX : Huge optimizations of the libServer, one of the core libraries used by the AppStore to access remote server.
- NEW : If the Download Manager is not running and the user make an action on the AppStore that require the DLM to be performed (for example a download), the AppStore will ask the user if he want to execute the DLM to accomplish the task.
- FIX : Now if the DLM is not running when quitting the AppStore the requester asking if we want to quit also the DLM will not be showed because unecessary.
- FIX : When the terms and conditions was not accepted by the user, at the next run, a message showing an abnormal end was showed.
- FIX : When the user log-out and log-in in the same program session an abnormal end wrongly was detected.
- NEW : Complete overhaul of the debug system.
- NEW : Because of the new communication system between the AppStore and the DLM and a new implementation now the connection to the remote server is much faster.
- NEW : The application's details screen now show also the author name.
- NEW : Enabled the configuration section, now the user is able to switch the fullscreen mode on and off, switch the animations and transitions on and off, switch the special effects (shadows, background, borders, etc...) on and off, and is also able to configure the keyboard and the joystick/joypad.
- NEW : Changed and optimized many interface-related options to increase the application speed and smoothness.
- FIX : Downloads now go into the right folder also on the MacOS X versions.
- FIX : Hundreds of minor fixes.

::: TIPS :::
- Now the AppStore comes with all the graphics options switched off, if you want some eye-candy effects please use the new settings section to adjust it to your personal taste.
- Depending on your system and your screen resolution you may find the interface slow: try to reduce the resolution using the new settings menu.

The official support forum can be found here: www.a-mc.biz/support

Hi, for me all links are working.
Can you please "refresh" your browser (reload page). Maybe you have an old version in your browser cache which points to old locations.. But also than it should work because old files are still online : )

Hehe.

I can't see if it hangs when looking on a screenshot : D

I assume it doesn't listen to your keyboard?
Normally you should be able to type now your username and then press enter

If it crashed.. you can kill it with ctrl+c
