@tlosm

you can change title with "virtual benchmark" so many users can post their benchmark of any machine, not only PowerPC

Your lame performance are very good :)

@Pavlor

i think real benchmark are much better than sinthetics benchmark like ragemem etc etc..

so:

When you emulate Windows System

3DMark 2000/2001SE/2003/2005
Quake and GL
Quake 2 and GL
Quake Arena
Doom3
Lame
Mplayer
Blender

Quake Arena (no 3d)

In first of my links are results for lame, ffmpeg and other applications from various OS4 systems. Just for comparison.

@Seiya

nope it was using only one core of the quad g5
i had been write it "Lame PowerMac G5 Quad 2.5 ghz OsX Leopard 10.5.8 32bit 1 core"
i will test if on the Debian will be a version that will use the 64bit power of machine and the 4x core.

I have found a lame version working
and with your song on Virtual Pc i have 1.7177x 2:20min im pretty sure lame use the fpu routine for rendering the songs .

@Seya.
The Debina port of lame is worst compared the macosx side ,probably because the Lame MacOx is optimized for G5 and Altivec-

i test a wav 2:30 leight and gave me max 11x , single core there too.
