I told in private message to moderator KJMann that I dont want to buy from AmigaKit anymore and do not recommend that web store to anyone else. This is what I got as response:

Quote:

You have been banned for the following reason:
Threated to post bad things about the forum owners

Date the ban will be lifted: Never

@itix

And what is your reason?

That response could be a reason, but then there is little time paradoxon :)

Not trying to judge or say what's right or wrong but what was the outcome you were hoping for?

@Rob

I expected nothing would come out. I made clear that I am not going to recommend AmigaKit anyone because of their moderation polciy, and I did not tell that to anyone in public on their web site. I only said it in private to kjmann and at Moo.

If this is reason to ban me then I have even less reasons to recommend AmigaKit.

My expectation has always been that if I dont cause trouble on their forums I dont get trouble either. If I take some moderation policy discussions in private it should not hurt either. But now because I expressed I dont recommend anyone to buy from there I get banned from Amiga.org.

And soon from AWN, too, that is for sure.

@NutsAboutAmiga

I did, and I said in private that I dont recommend anyone to buy from AmigaKit, and got banned. I dont know what was written back to me because I cant access PM there anymore.

And I am not asking to lift my ban. I never did. And I dont.

If you don't have the time to resolve a small problem, you don't deserve the business and you have lost money.

Just my 2 cents.

Why send that to a mod in PM and why don't you want people to buy from Amigakit.

I have purchased from amigakit before and will again. I have found matt's service to be in deed - going the extra mile.
I would be very interested in the outcome of this, never seeing itix as one typical of moo. Though any association with moo has the potential to be tarred with the same brush.
Weve heard many stories about mongrels on a.org, I'd be interested to hear the full story if theres more to it than whats been discussed here.Especially if sleep deprivation is involved.

@Rob

It was my reply to a warning I got from moderator. As for other question, maybe just because I think moderators are not good. Just like if I go to local Wal-mart and the clerk is cranky I can tell people to not go there anymore.

I just would not expect to get banned from local Wal-mart because of that :) even if I almost ever buy very little or nothing.

Does aorg's t&c allow discussing a warning via pm? Without reprimand? Did you swear at him/he at you?

Hello. I'm Kjmann. the Mod in question here.

For the record. Itix was warned to stop reporting moderators and administrators Edited or deleted posts as TOS violations. He has sent several in the past few weeks. This Alone I considered to be a form of trolling.

his response (at least what I could ascertain) was to threaten to post his derogatory opinions about amiga kit in the public forums at A.org. It is possible that I misconstrued his intentions due to the fact that I think English may be his second language.

I personally would consider this a threat of bad behavior out of spite for the action taken against him (Which was a 10 day infraction warning).

after discussing it with eliyahu, I'm going to lift the ban because he has not actually taken the action he threatened to take yet. I will admit that my action was too harsh and it was a mistake on my part to ban him as of yet untill he actually does what he has threatened to do.

Although I still feel a threat is as bad as an action, eliyahu is right that people must remain innocent until proven guilty.

If he does post such things then I will take action if necessary. in the meantime, his ban has been lifted. My apologies to the community for jumping the gun.

Thank you for listening.
-Kjmann

@Kotler

And yet you love to namecall. Amigaworld.net had it been under threat of needing to close could have asked for bids.

This isn't some kind of thunderbirds esque rescue, no scantily clad maidens were hauled dripping out of a well. A commercial company bought the dns names and another site lost it's independence.

@Kjmann

Cant fault that, youve been a gentleman ( and reviewing my own conduct on aw at times during the past) a bigger man than myself.

I think you and your mates should have been banned from all forums long ago and left to rot in the self congratulatory pit of moobunny and #morphos. But this was wrong and a sign of things to come here. But I won't buy from amigakit either
