What I'm amazed by is the support this book has gotten, not that many kickstarter project get £130,000 in backing specially just a book, kinda proves there is still serious interest and money in amiga world. _________________ AmigaNG, YouTube, LeaveReality Studio |

Aw, didnt realise that.
Well, didnt really matter either. They were probably all gone by yesterday anyway, when i noticed that book even. Lucky i at least got the book pledged. Would have liked to have pledged boxed version of Putty Squad as well. but cant help it anymore i guess. |

The boxed Putty Squads didn't even make it to the end of the first day of the campaign! _________________ Sven Harvey Amiga Mart in Micro Mart, Geekology 4M@, and other places A1000, A2000, A1500 A500, CDTV, A500+, A600, A4000, A1200, CD32, AT A1200HD, A1-XE |

Wow, that surely was fast.
I guess everyone who bought one of those, could easily sell them for double the price, and even more. |

Technically the signed version for £75 nearly made it to the end of the 2nd day but yes the unsigned £60 pledge didn't last beyond the first day! _________________ "Art challenges technology. Technology inspires the art." John Lasseter, Co-Founder of Pixar Animation Studios |

I am looking forward to both this and the C64 book. Still contemplating the upgrade to the hardback version before I fill in my survey Last edited by _Steve_ on 15-Nov-2014 at 01:39 AM.

Probably a nice book and gawd you seem like a hysterical teenager.
Do it say anything about your imaginary Amiga, the very expensive AmigaOne that need an emulator to run Amiga software?
And by the way my AmigaTwo can run DPaint in HAM8 but cost only a fraction of this A1 nonsense.

Cool specially the SOTB CD and the Amiga C> sticker, other things are good too.
Who will win these prizes?
I think I can make it on another year.
I think Out Run and Operation Stealth deserves attention too. _________________ AMIGA 500 1.5 MB ACA500/ACA1232 accelerators AMIGA 500 German CD32 unexpanded Amiga 1200 Tower on AmigaKit since years AMIGA 1300 030/50 Mhz/32 MB WB 3.9 with lots of games&demos AMIGA ONE XE G3 PPC 800 Mhz/1 GB RAM/RADEON 9250 128 MB/SATA CONTROLLER |

No, because it's a book about the Commodore Amiga line of computers and focuses primarily their games/software. Commodore went bust in 1994 so the book covers the period from Hi-Toro's Amiga development up to Commodore's demise in 1994.
P.S. I don't own an AmigaOne only classic Amigas so this book is perfect for me. _________________ "Art challenges technology. Technology inspires the art." John Lasseter, Co-Founder of Pixar Animation Studios |

My book arrived yesterday and I agree it is awesome!
Absolutely amazing book and I love all the little extras too (think I will keep them bagged up to ensure they stay in good condition for as long as possible).
Loved the smell of the book too (almost as much as the smell I get from opening a new boardgame!).
Cant wait for the Viva Amiga documentary and the from bedroom to billions documentary on the Amiga as well.
Well done and a great big thank you too all involved in the creation of this awesome book

Oh does Mac support its old apps...... answer no, this can only be done via an emulation software.
SO why be so critical about the AmigaOne emulation layer.
@thread
I'm a AmigaOne owner who too supported this Kickstater project.
Received my book yesterday, haven't read it yet but like the dedication to Edgar on the front. _________________ Cross-developer on Windows, OS3, OS4, Linux; Current Projects:- Nephele Cloud App OS4 UserProfile System OS4 AmigaOneXE OS4.1.6

Yeah, it was a nice tribute. I just had to save that sticker off the cellophane and stuck it to the back of the dust cover _________________ "Art challenges technology. Technology inspires the art." John Lasseter, Co-Founder of Pixar Animation Studios |
