Hi All can someone tell me what this item is called and where can I get them as I am going to make a little project and I need this item but don't know what it's called to buy them

Should be able to get them at Maplin's, they are very common.
However, don't try to use a ribbon cable as an extender for a ROM socket. The conductors are too close together and the cross-talk will cause the machine to crash. You'd have to replace the ribbon cable with twisted-pairs, as I did with my A1000 all those years ago.

thanks for that I did not know that the ribbon cable will cross-talk fixed that now I hope
