@Manu/Xmas87

Now that are the 2 extrems an Amiga forum could go for...

As for the bunny being "disgusting", most of that comes from the "gay spammer" and inpersonations (which might be the same guy). Once you filter those out (+ a certain scotsmen ) you get a lot of strong opinions voiced in open conversations.

I'll be happy with an Amiga forum that is mobile optimised and take full advantage Web 2.0 - few care if your website doesn't open in iBrowse.

@OlafS25

Waiting for approval, too.

It's good to see another general Amiga forum. Let's see if it gets traffic and its own personality.

But I wouldn't have put it under a .de domain, the German Abmahnanwälte are a major PITA.

So you are allowed to post porn on the new forum?
Advisement's and web marketing?
Spread FUD and Rumor that you know to be false?
Is name calling allowed?
Is it possible to have more then one user account in the new forum?
Are you allowed to share Piracy software on the new site?

@NutsAboutAmiga

Is this a serious question?

We have freedom where I live, we can say what we want of course not under the belt or say wrong things to harm people. On internet you have not more freedom than in real life but also not less.

@NutsAboutAmiga

Google one bigger company, you will almost 100% find complaints. Are they true? Very propably. Does that automatically mean the company is bad. No. You will always find people who are unhappy, it more depends how the persons involved react on it. Is it intelligent for a company to try to ban everyone. No because they will have no success.

I do not want to restrict the forum as much as the other forums are and hope it will work out. Restricted forums are enough already.

@OlafS25

Compared to the Amigans.net recruitment drive when it announced "new website", how do you think things are going so far by comparison?

Perhaps holding court over 2 websites is overwhelming him. Heh.

You might also try posting about your new forum at home base for the disenfranchised:

Can you please remove a stupid requirement that the password must contain capital letters and digits?

@g_kraszewski

I can't agree more. I find pw rules such as this ponderous and litterly drive me up the wall. However I did choose to shrug it off a bit and register. :)

@RobertJDohnert

Your forum idea is interesting. good luck with it.

Well the problem with freedom is that it has no meaning, its just a question of where the line is drawn. This is how I see it.

I think for the most part at least on Amigaworld.net the moderators have managed to behave, ITIX was not banned for saying what he did on Amigaworld.net, but complaining about the a moderators distintion is agents the TOS, yet he was allowed to present his case, and he got even a apology.

This shows intelligent moderation I think. Not just auto ban because a role is broken.

There has been few that has been banned here like Vox, and Helgis.

I have nothing agents Vox as long as he behave, and I'm sure the moderators don't as well.

Helgis is a interesting case, he is always polite, that's not the problem.

Not sure if there are enough users for your forum, but I think the idea is very good, and something worth existing.
