@cat9921
use the Poseidon software the latest one 4.2 I think and the you must have spider. Device 0,1,2 on the Poseidon software and use spider. Device 3.22

here is link to the to download http://www.elbox.com/downloads_mediator.html

HI

we have downloaded the latest spider file and we are using the latest poseidon V4 program

Still getting the same error

In your post, you mentioned Device 0,1,2 on the poseidon software. Can I ask what do you u mean by that?

@cat9921

I once spent a few hours I think it was trying to sort out a friends A1200T Spider. Installed the drivers. Nup, no go. Don't recall the exact error, it may have been the same. What I do know is it was very vague and gave no clue as to what was going on! Or wasn't going on. I wish these programers spent more time giving feedback when things go wrong.

I checked the docs and it said all these versions needed to be there. Well if that is so why the hell weren't they put on the driver disk!? The machine had no net access so off on the sneakernet I go. I go all over the place looking for these versions it wants, all the time wondering what happened to real Amiga hardware with real plug'n'play. And it was all in vain. Didn't budge, the same stupid vague error came back.

Then I spoke to someone else about it and they said they installed the drrivers and it worked straight away. Argh!!! Don't you hate that!

@amigat

You need the image on an external site so you can use the IMG gagdet to add the URL off the image. AFAIK you can't upload imaes to the AW site.

No graphics card?
Think that was needed and the cards had to be installed in a certain order if memory serves.

@cat9921

I seem to remember the memory from the graphics card was needed for the spider.
It was a problem many years ago with Poseidon, don't think it is now.

Sounds like the installation broke. But this is a bad way of running a program. Do these people even know how AmigaOS works? This is for enviromental variables, not programs! Now wonder these Spider cards cause so much trouble.

Given the Spider is expensive enough it should be included. But yes before it was made open source you neede a key. That's another thing, the Poseidon software version must match the spider.device version. So if you have the free version you need the later device to work with it.

@TiredofLife

That's right. A VGA card needed in the right slot and other PCI cards below in a certain order. A lot of docs must be read to set it up. For something made to simplify the life of an Amiga person it is fairly technical.

Good you got it sorted. Now, is this a PCI wireless card? Perhaps see if the driver has any docs about PCI position.
