Thanks guys.

I was in a hurry to get to a rehearsal earlier so here's the additional blurb I meant to post:

It's become a bit of a tradition , in my mind at least, to do a hand painted Christmas card and more recently make a video of the process. So here's this years! The original idea was to make myself into FC so I started with playing with some of SketchBlock image processing tools, it didn't quite go to plan so I ended up with a more generic Father Christmas.

Painted in SketchBlock Lite (2.8) on my Amiga One X1000. Captured with a EZCap HD attached to the spare HDMI output on the gfx card. Timelapse editing done in blender to reduce from 45 mins to 4 mins. The audio track recorded on the SAM 440 Flex in Audio Evolution on my Matthew Carter acoustic guitar via a Rode NT1-A mic mixed with the output from the Line 6 Pod Pro. Audio and video then combined with FFMpeg GUI. on the X1000.

SketchBlock Lite is available to purchase from the AmiStore.

Always intresting to see how it works in the hands of an artist.

@broadblues

It is like seeing the way I write programs in timelapse.

Seeing your timelapse is confirmation that sketching by an artist is a labor intensive activity as the hand follows the muse through hand eye coordination.

Facinating, trying to follow along what you are about.

From your words it must be much like authors channeling their characters.. never being sure what's going to happen next.

@broadblues,

Wish my Mom was still around to see that. She worked pastels. Nice work!

@thread

I added some animated snow with PPaint 7.3a

I did intend to make a short video on animating in PPaint but ran out of time (I'm already late!) so here's the gis instead, bit cheesey I know, but it's christmas!

Merry Xmas once again.
