The Brand commodore was acquired in 2014 by the young engineer and man d 'Affairs Italian Massimo Canigiani. Inestenuante campaign d 'acquisition of several domains "commodore". Still remains in mystery, however, the true intention of the new pioneer of one of the most recognized brands in the world |

Why doesn't AEON, Amiga Kit or the Amiga community put money in a kitty to buy the name? At least that way, you could have control over your future.

I don't really associate the Commodore brand with "the future" in any positive way. In their time they were one of the worst run companies around -- Amiga survived in spite of them, not because of them. Last edited by bison on 21-Jan-2015 at 08:35 PM.

It would be very nice and fascinating to have A-EON renamed in "Commodore", but probabily the brand would be relatively expensive... I don't have idea about present value of the Commodore brand, maybe tens of thousands of Euros or more..._________________ A1200/020+68882 - 6 MB RAM - AmigaOS 3.0

It's not relevant to Amiga anymore. |

Commodore ceased to be relevant when they went bankrupt in 1994.

If I had to choose between Samsung and Commodore tablet I could choose Commodore tablet... why? Because of nostalgia. _________________ Amiga Developer Amiga 500, Efika, Mac Mini and PowerBook |

At least then they would be able to port it to other architectures instead of sticking with the overpriced dying ppc platform. |

| If the brand was acquired someone reliquished it.
I would start from there.

It's more likely someone has gotten scammed and thinks they own C= IP. I can't see C= Holding giving the IP up without a 8 if not 9 digit payment. Their last legal bill had to be in the mid 7 digit range for their victory over AsiaRim in New York court. People backing C= Holding have very deep pockets.

That sounds like an awful lot of money for a simple brand. Are Commodore Holdings part of the progressive global elites? |
